Our guide, Royce, was hilarious. Our entire family (kids 6-12 and adults) couldn't stop laughing. It was also highly educational. The next day we took a Bayou tour, and my kids knew everything the Bayou guide said about gators. In addition to learning about gators and feeling them, you get to feed the gators and for an extra 5 bucks... More

I visited here with my family including school-age children. The ranch tour involves about a 30 minute lecture, then a tour of these dark huts where the gators are raised, then a chance for folks to catch baby gators whose mouths have been taped shut (the gator catch is $5 extra, but worth it). We liked it, and was different... More

I visited the InstaGator Ranch in November 2016. My friend and I had a wonderful time. We got a wonderful lecture which walked us through the basic of alligators and their history in the SouthEast. There was also information on other reptiles like caymans and crocodiles. A young alligator was shown to us and we were able to pet him... More

Highly Recommend. Wasn't expecting much, definitely not expecting to enjoy. While staying on the gulf coast from Michigan, we took a day trip through some back roads of Louisiana, picked up literature on this gem while at a visitor center and thought the 10 year old would enjoy. Ended up we all had a great time. Tour guides were witty... More

Our family was heading back on a cross country road trip and found this gem. The staff were very warm and allowed us to make a reservation the same day. We have 3 elementary school children and each of them enjoyed the tour. We paid a bit extra and 2 of the 3 got to pet the baby alligators. They... More

I have visited the instagator ranch 4 different occasions. I enjoyed every visit! The staff keeps the event very fun but yet informative! We enjoyed petting the gators and feeding them! Loved it all

This was one of the highlights of our recent vacation as our family visited Insta-Gator. This isn't a zoo or swamp experience, but a working ranch for the harvest of alligators. The guides are friendly and very knowledgeable as they lead you through an educational tour of all you ever wanted to know about alligators. They explain everything from the... More

There had been a large storm the night before, so we had an abbreviated tour with a focus more on alligator viewing and handling. The kids loved holding the baby alligators...was one of the highlights of the trip.

We stopped in on a whim while waiting for Abita Brewing to open, and we're happy we did! Despite joining an existing tour late, we found our guide (Joe) to be friendly, entertaining, and very knowledgeable. We appreciated the care and professionalism of the ranch in raising the young gators in a clean and controlled environment to optimize their health... More

We were a little wary when we were pointed to a gator ranch, where gators were being raised for food and leather, expecting to find a dirty sort of road-side zoo sort of location. Didn't THIS place end up being a pleasant surprise! The entire tour was absolutely fantastic. Our guide was fun, warm, and friendly, and full of interesting... More
