Beautiful scenery, lots of birds. A very peaceful time. Check out the osprey family in the old eagle's nest!

Awesome teeming with wild birds, animals, trees, water plants, fish. Go on a sunset your. It is well worth the experience. I recommend Cajun Country Swamp Tours. Quiet boat with educated guides who grew up in the area and are very knoledgeable.

A trip on Lake Martin is a must when in Breaux Bridge. We recommend the kayaks with Altum (ask for Jannine) but for the less sporty, there are also guided boat trips from various operators.

Beautiful lake with plentiful swamp and bird nesting areas and populated with a plentitude of local birds, alligators, herons, eagles etc. We saw a nesting bald eagle, at least 20+ alligators of all sizes, gorgeous blue herons and too many other majestic birds to mention....More

The vegetation and wildlife were amazing. We also reviewed the Champagne Swamp Tour on this lake. It was excellent.

I didn't walk around the lake so I don't know. We took a swamp tour by boat which was terrific.
