Go the the Vallarta Gardens. You will be transformed.
Apr 2021
I felt like we were guests of a very generous host at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. it is a delight to wander through the gardens. It's easy to just enjoy the beauty of the earth here.

Just when we were feeling the heat, we found ourselves at the Hacienda. We were greeted by a lovely man who welcomed us, told us a bit about the history of the garden & handed us a couple of blooms from a basket. We went into the hacienda, sat in one of the patios and passed the time of day with a couple of English tourists. The mid-day meal at the Gardens was remarkable, of course! The music, electric violin & keyboard was imaginative.

Al in all a completely glorious day! Go to the gardens. you will be transformed.

A Nice Break From The Beach
Jun 2021 • Business
Beautiful gardens and easy to avoid the crowds if you take all the side trails. A very pleasant way to spend a few hours, with a good (albeit expensive) restaurant on the grounds for eating lunch. Wear good walking shoes! If you are not on a tight schedule, an inexpensive bus ride from PV and back was part of the fun

Fabulous tour and Food!!!
Highlight of our time in Puerto Vallarta . Tour for my 88 yr old dad and myself. The setting of this garden is outside pvr ...25 min drive...we were picked up at the Botanical Garden office in town ...great guide and smooth sailing to the garden . The area is so lush and the vegetation spectacular . Our guide was informative and relaxed . Can not express how wonderful our time was there. And the lunch with stunning views was delightful . I can not wait to go back one day !! Thank you SO much !!

Magnificent grounds and good food
May 2021
This was on my wife's "must visit" list and we were not disappointed, WOW!!! coming in at 64 -acres you are in for some walking. We were there a few hours and it felt like less. When we finally sat down in the main building to eat we realized just how tired we were. The food was pretty good as far as some basics go. I had a club sammy and my wife had some vegetarian dish. We got some great ideas for our gardens back home!!! Worth the trip and price of admission if you're a gardener.

Perfect getaway!
May 2021 • Couples
Beautiful place, with amazing staff, delicious food and diverse nature.
The drive to the botanical gardens is beautiful, there is no data there so if you take an Uber, on the way back you'll have to ask the front staff to call you a cab which takes around 15 minutes.
The property is very well kept and the trails are gorgeous, some parts of the trails are a bit strenuous but beautiful. The restaurant has a great breeze going all the time to cool off after a hike/walk.
The restaurant has amazing food and the gift shop has a great collection of gifts that are reasonably priced.
A great experience!

Heavenly Garden
Apr 2021 • Friends
Beautiful place to spend the day with artistic landscaping and trails to hike. Just a ten minute bus or cab ride from downtown Puerto Vallarta. Bus called el Tuito - take it at the corner of Aguacate and Carranza St. Also a gorgeous, romantic restaurant with outdoor seating. Be sure to try the complimentary hibiscus tea when you arrive.

Lovely experience
Apr 2021
We were in PV last week and went to the garden It was our 2nd trip; we had gone during our previous trip to PV.
It is a 30 pesos fare on the El Tuito bas to get there. It is an interesting bus trip of around 40 minutes, depending on where you start. Entrance was around $10 US. It is a walking tour with a map provided. A wheelchair could be used for some of the grounds.
Love this place and the wonderful on site restaurant. The gift shop on site is excellent.
This is a place to stop and contemplate the beauty of the plantings as well as the overall meanings behind the structures and the tiles. Great love is infused into so much of this setting. We thank you to all who have contributed to this treasure.

Best Botanical Garden in the Americas!
Apr 2021
Just a fantastic adventure our tour guide was Javier, his knowledge of the Garden was outstanding and his insight into the culture and how it is intertwined with the plants was very interesting! The culinary adventure was absolutely worth the price, our lunch was fantastic! Best Chile Relleno I think I have ever had! The road to the Garden is a little whindy but great views and well worth the drive!

Thank goodness we have another credit card.

Worth the Trip; Plan on Lunch While Visiting
Feb 2021
We truly enjoyed the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. They have many wonderful, nicely planted gardens and greenhouses/buildings for you to view all kinds of beautiful plants (some are quite unique). This includes a path to their chapel.

In addition, there are hiking paths if you want to get out "in the jungle" and experience nature.

Finally, they have a great restaurant with a good-sized menu (check out the chocolate cake for dessert). Both the prices in the restaurant and gift shop are reasonable.

Definitely worth visiting. We will be back!
