The private boat tour was perfect for our family group: 4 adults, 2 small children and Bella- the dog. Jim and Amanda were excellent hosts. Jim's ability to answer all questions and expound on the history of the area was impressive. Both are very polite, friendly and welcoming. What a fascinating evening. The boat was a great size for our small group and was very comfortable and safe. We were able to bring our drinks aboard. This was an ideal sunset tour: fun, informative, safe and the perfect length of time.
Thank you.

We enjoyed hosting your family aboard our boat. This year especially we have had a lot of private charters where families like yours can have the whole boat for just themselves. Just yesterday we had another private charter and have two more today. Moving our benches into a more intimate arrangement and setting up the table in the middle for your snacks and beverages gives the boat a whole different look and we agree that The Shoreline is a perfect size for private charters for small groups or families. Thank you for your comments!

My husband & 2 friends chose Shoreline Charters for a tour to Pilot & Plum Islands to view lighthouses & view a ship wreck from 1867 that lies in 8 feet of water. The tour was totally professional with the captain being a well known scuba diver in Door County with 50+ years diving experience plus a tour guide who also was very well versed on Door County history & the sites we saw. Tour left on time & arrived back on time. They were able to answer all our questions & everyone learned plenty! I highly recommend taking this tour for ages 10+. Price was more than worth it!

We are happy to hear you appreciated our experience. With our diving experiences there is not much we do not know about area shipwrecks and we are fortunate our tour guides are all local people who know the area. Thank you for taking the time to comment and appreciate you doing so.

Captain Jim and First Mate Kristen provided a great narrated tour on a comfortable boat with only 12 seats. Beautiful shoreline, light houses, bald eagles, Plum Island excursion, and a shipwreck from 1867 in 7 feet of crystal clear water. Our 2 dogs had a blast joining us.

We are happy to hear the dogs had a blast (you too)! We are also happy to hear the Eagles made an appearance as sometimes they are around other times not. At least the lighthouses and shipwreck are always there to see. Thank you for taking the time to comment, I will let Kristen know you complimented her.

This was a great cruise, and one of our favorite activities on Door County. This is a smaller and more intimate boat, which allows you to get “up close and personal” to the shoreline and water. Captain Jill and Amanda were amazing in their knowledge and depth of first-hand experiences. The history and legends surrounding Deaths Door come to life on this cruise. I highly recommend.

A wonderful, personalized tour of the waters around door county including Plum and Pilot islands. What sets this tour apart is the intimate nature - it's a small boat that seats around a dozen. Captain Jim has been sailing and diving these waters for decades, so he and tour guide Bunny know all about the area, it's history and culture, and the technical details and fun of boating. They both answer questions and make sure you get the photos you want, even looping around if you miss one.
I recommend doing the longer tour where you can walk on Plum island for 30 mins; that island's beach has smooth rocks your kids will have fun skipping and lots of coast guard history they will tell you about. The highlight of the tour is floating above an 1870's shipwreck (with a story) recently rediscovered. When the sun is out you can clearly see it about ten feet under the boat!
We did a lot of fun things in Door County and this was the highlight of the trip.

Thank you for mentioning our personalized tour which is something we do with every trip. Every cruise we run we try and personalize to the passengers on that tour which we can do with the smaller groups we carry. We are also very glad to hear you felt our cruise was the highlight of your trip!! Thanks for your comments.

What a great cruise. Captain Robbo and "guide" Christy made it a wonderful trip. So knowledgeable with a bit of humor thrown in. Love being on the water, and this filled the bill. Ronnie was very friendly when I made our reservation and kept me up to date on whether or not the cruise would go (we were the first to sign uo, but left with a full boat ?)
Things we heard and saw led us to further internet investigation . Always a sign of a good outing.

It was a reasonably warm day on land--high 60's, but a jacket/sweater felt great on the water.

To answer a question below, boat can be chartered by groups.

We really enjoyed our boat tour with Shoreline Cruises today. Fortunately, the weather cooperated, and we loved hearing all the history and informative talks by the captain and co-captain. There were many interesting stories told and lots of beautiful scenery. The boat holds only about 16 passengers, so everyone has a great seat and line of vision. We would highly recommend this tour.

If you're into a fun and detailed tour of this section of Lake Michigan, this tour is definitely for you.

Captain "Robbo" was the best. The tour guide gave a detailed explanation and the history of the lighthouses and the shipwreck of the "Grape Shot".

This company is passionate about the area and passionate about letting folks experience one of the best tours you can take!

My husband and I went on the Gills Rock, Death's Door and Plum Island tour at the end of August and we loved every minute of it! The history of this area is incredible and was told with such detail that it leaves you wanting to know more. We were able to capture some incredible photos of the area and shipwreck. We highly recommend this tour with Doug and Bunny!

Glad to hear you loved the cruise! The history of this area, especially the maritime history is very interesting especially here in the Deaths Door Passage area with all the Islands and shipwrecks. Also glad you got some great photos, we make it a point to slow down, stop and even turn around if needed so every passenger get's the photos they want. Thanks for your comments!

First, as they say, there is never a bad day on the water. And when you are in Door County, there is a breeze and it is probably 85 - the water is the best place to be. This was a great tour. The captain (I believe Robbe) was friendly and informative as was his sidekick tour guide (either Bunny or Honey, I couldn't quite understand). Both were full of all kinds of information about the area. We learned some Door County history, saw some great shorelines, rode around Pilot Island for a view and a stop at Plum Island. We even got some views of a shipwreck that was just off of Plum Island. I totally enjoyed the afternoon ride and think a family private charter ride might be in our future. Great ride - Thanks guys!
