Mummy!

I was mind blown at the 65 million year old 1500lbs Triceratops (dinosaur) skull! I was also mesmerized by the real mummy that is on display. Very interesting. Reasonable adult... read more

It's inexpensive and a pleasant hour long stroll through Egypt, Looney Tunes and space. Take time to enjoy it and it's a nice afternoon stroll. But don't come here thinking it's the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It's quaint so don't sprint. Another bonus is it offers a lot for the kids. And the shop has great art + jewelry... More

We went to see the Art of Warner Brothers Cartoons at LASM. I was very happy to see the exhibit of cartoon drawings that go back so far in time. I use to love the cartoons and my kids loved the Warner Brothers cartoons as well. I really like when LASM brings in exhibits such as this. It is very... More

I was mind blown at the 65 million year old 1500lbs Triceratops (dinosaur) skull! I was also mesmerized by the real mummy that is on display. Very interesting. Reasonable adult entry fee (just under $10). It was a 20 mins visit that has left a lifetime of memories!

From the moment we walked in, my daughter (the science wiz), was enthralled! There were so many great things about this place, it's hard to name them all! Let's see. The best part for ME was the mummy and the Egyptian displays. The best part for my oldest daughter was the huge triceratops skull, Jason. The best part for the... More

They do a great job of bringing in interesting exhibits that are multi-generational. I also appreciate that they highlight the intersection of art and science.

I've been to this place numerous times, the Egypt exhibit is always great and sometimes the art gallery gets nationally acclaimed exhibits. I also love the fact that the building is an old train station.

Spend as much time as you'd like at this museum. The exhibits are anchored by Egypt and the Planets with much of interest in between.

We went out on a family day to this museum today. Got to catch a couple of the imax shows which are very educationally especially for children. We got to get into one of the science lab classes for a few experiments that were geared for the children. The exhibits are well kept. Really like that everything in the museum... More

We enjoyed ALL areas of the museum. One of our favorites was the hands on art area. The Egypt exhibit was amazing to see in person. We also watched Journey to the Stars in the planetarium. Loved the reclined seats! I think that anyone could find something to enjoy at this museum.
