Excellent museum to give out-of-town a good overview of LA culture / history. Great hot summer's day activity : Air conditioned. Can easily spend 2- 3 hours in there.

Thank you for your comment! We do keep it nice and chilly indoors to preserve our amazing collection. We even sometimes recommend to bring a light sweater!

A beautiful place with a lot of Louisiana's history. It covers a lot about civil rights, hurricanes, burial rituals, slavery, Mardi Gras, music and politics. It has a lot of meaningful history for every age group!

Yes! Our outdoor covered Plaza has an amazing view of the Louisiana State Capitol. We enjoy hosting events, cocktail parties and even wedding receptions under that space.

This is a very extensive museum with a huge number of exhibits. The History of Louisiana was particularly interesting but we didn't have time to do it justice. Another visit would have been nice but we just didn't have the time.

Yes! There is so much to see at Capitol Park and our surrounding areas that we typically recommend 2-3 hours per visit. Some guests enjoy buying a morning ticket and taking a lunch break at nearby Spanish Town Market or Main Street Market.

I don't remember for sure but I'm thinking $5. It wasn't much and was so worth it.
