I never thought of the houses in a fort were attached to the wall of the fort. This was interesting to see how they lived. The guy that was in the house with the furs shot or trapped all of the animals in there. He was so interesting to talk to.

Do not use Google maps to get here from the Ark! After we snaked thru miles of roads warning if possible washouts, we got to the cabin. There are new hours posted, 10am to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm. We are here at 4pm. If you are going to advertise on the internet, keep your hours

They accept donations otherwise it’s free. It only takes a few minutes to walk through. It’s a really neat old house that shares Williamstown history. My dad was only able to view the lower floor because he can’t do stairs very well. My husband, mom, and I went upstairs. It
