From the time you arrive on the bus, you can't believe how large the Ark is. The workmanship of the boat was obviously a work of love. Run your hands across all areas of the wood and not a single splinter. The exhibits were very...More

I went to the creation museum 3 times waiting for the completion of the Ark Encounter completion. It was worth the wait. I will go attend. It was handicap accessible. Be prepared to walk.

Wow what an impressive, interesting & educational experience so worth the drive and crowds. Plenty of room to see everything and read all of the placards. Make sure you take the time to watch the movies as it adds so much to the experience.

We certainly were not disappointed, having heard many good reports of this must-see attraction near Williamstown, Kentucky. It is very well signposted along the I 75, so you cannot miss it. Transportation after paying at the ticket counter was well organized. It did help that...More

My husband, daughter, and I visited during the Christmas festival, and we loved it! We only had 4 hours, and it was not long enough! We agree with the recommended 5-6 hour minimum. The ark was so much larger than we imagined, and we learned...More

I can’t say enough about The Ark Encounter. It’s not just a model of the ark built in a small town in Kentucky. It’s the Bible coming to life. It’s history and science. It’s multimedia presentations using scientific facts, equipping God’s people to defend their...More

This was truly an great attraction to visit. Plan on spending several hours here. There is so much information about Noah's Ark that just blew us away. It's a great Christian site to visit. There is plenty to see and places to eat at this...More

This place is awe inspiring. Breathtaking in just its sheer size. The inside is like a museum. Lots of reading. Small children got bored quick. Many things closed during winter months that may have made better for the kids. Did have animals to feed and...More

We took our 14-year-old and 10-year-old to the Ark Encounter over Christmas Break and they both had a great time. It took about 4 hours to go through the Ark, gift shop (which sells Fair Trade goods), and the Christmas Lights they have set up...More

Crazy expensive! It’s definitely cool & a something we enjoyed seeing but I felt overpriced for about 2 hours. At $48 per person I felt it was a bit much. I did think it was well done and realistic to what was displayed just bring...More

Not very well. In fact, you can't even gain access to the parking lot unless you commit to the parking fee. It is secured by a heavy gate of iron bars. Seriously. Then the ark is set quite a ways back from the parking lot... More

Ark Busy? (2 Replies)
Hey o TA friends. How busy is the Ark Encounter on Saturdays in the summer? Thanks.

Very busy! The attraction is extremely well done and popular. You will feel very crowded on a Saturday in the summer. We visited on a slower day in early March, and it was difficult to move at times. Definitely go, by try for a weekday.

In August, we will be traveling from Knoxville to The Ark Encounter in Williamstown. This is a horse family so seeing horses in Lexington isn't of interest. Any suggestion for side trips (not horse related)that might be of interest to teenagers?

Like any other amusement: weekends are busy, weekdays are not, summer is peak season.
