Well, its not Jack Daniels but it is still a good tour. Our tour guide was so so but that is the luck of the draw. The tours are on top of each other. At one time we had three tours in the same room. We kept comparing to Jack Daniels because they are both owned by Brown Foreman and... More

This was our first trip to experience Kentucky's Bourbon Trail. It was a beautiful ride out to the Woodford Reserve Distillery, and the grounds are really pretty. There is a fee to take part in the tour and tasting, for which reservations and payment can now be taken online. The tour was conducted by Gleason, who was really informative and... More

Great visit to learn about the WR story. And Gleason was a masterful story-teller. For the 2 hours of the "Corn to Cask" tour we were educated and saw every phase of production from water and grain to varied samples of deep amber product. Having a retired chemist as our tour guide added immensely to getting the full story. Be... More

The grounds were gorgeous. Steve was our tour guide and he was gentlemanly, sophisticated, informative, kind, and friendly. The distillery tour was just the right length (1 hour) to share the process and not become boring or tiring. After the tour, there was a tasting. I am not much of a bourbon fan, but it was a fun and interactive... More

The property is gorgeous, and the bourbon delicious, but what I appreciated most was the organization and efficiency. It's a very professional and streamlined experience. There is plenty of staff, and things are well laid out. It felt a bit touristy, but we were tourists, and they're good at what they do. We showed up early for our reservation, and... More

Woodford Reserve is a nice, quiet and beautiful distillery tucked into the hills east of Louisville, Kentucky. To get to the distillery, you can drive through some of the large, prestigious Kentucky horse farms, which adds to the charm of the area. We went in early March, and were able to see the new foals on our way to the... More

We enjoyed a very informative tour of the Woodford distillery in late May. Steve was our guide, and he provided a succinct, fact-packed, humor-tinged overview of this historic enterprise. He answered all the questions extremely knowledgeably. We enjoyed this distillery because the old buildings blend nicely with the surrounding environment - it doesn't have an "industrial" vibe at all. Watching... More

First time at Woodford Reserve. Thought the grounds and place was very historic and beautiful. Our guide did well with the history of the distillery and seemed to be very knowledgable. Liked how they had a bus to assist everyone with getting around the grounds as this was very accommodating. We liked their bourbons, would recommend this place when doing... More

We are not whisky drinkers but that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying our tour of Woodford Reserve Distillery. Our tour guide, Russell, was an excellent ambassador for Woodford as he brought to life the process of distillation as well as the history of the distillery itself. The historic buildings are lovely to tour and the main building is modern... More
