We went to visit Loretta Lynn's Birthplace. On the way back down we stopped at the Coal Miners Musuem in Van Lear. I am so glad we decided to stop. We received a ton of history on Van Lear and the Coal Mines. We paid $5.00 to spend an hour + there. My goodness was $5.00 a bargain. As Americans... More

Its a pretty good exhibit, it was just getting ran down. I was suprised to find that there was a soda "jerk-bar" that had been saved from a local phamacmy and moved there. The display and exhibits were nice, but lice a lot in the area. One visit will do it.
