This is a fun and informative place to learn about how my family made a living mining coal in this small Kentucky town. The staff was friendly and informative. Lots of history under on roof.

“Closed for lunch” sign hanging on door but no time of return. One couple had been waiting for “quite awhile.” The exhibits were dated & dusty but a lot of interesting information. The town needs to do some updating to the paint, gift shop, etc.

The building was the location of the offices for the railroad and lumber company. The museum has a nice variety of items from that period of time. It was a pleasant experience.
