About
We are a working alpaca farm with a fiber mill, and farm store. Come feed the alpacas and learn why their fiber has been revered for thousands of years. In our fiber mill you will see how we turn nearly 200# of fiber each year into finished products. Our farm store not only offers alpaca products and yarns, we have locally handcrafted gifts, and even a few collectibles. Tours by appt. year round.

I love the llama fur animals. I bought a bunny for an Easter gift & a horse and bear for my family. They have great handmade items and an antique section in the back.

Warm and Fuzzy

While at the alpaca farm, you'll get a warm and fuzzy feeling in your heart from petting, feeding, and watching the 24+ warm and fuzzy animals. The owners kindly accommodated my grandfather who has mobility impairments, bringing him chairs so he could enjoy the farm, too! The other reviews match my family's experience -- this tour fully earned its 5 stars.

It's like going home!

Today my sisters and I drove to the Sarano Alpaca Farm and had an absolutely wonderful visit. We were greeted by Ben and Jerry, two of the sweetest Great Pyrenees dogs I've ever met. They were soon joined by Ron and Judi who took us on a tour. Ron and Judi took their time and explained the yarn process from field to finished product. We were told about the care and feeding of these sweet little animals as well as all the ways the alpaca wool can be used. Ron and Judi were informative and patiently answered all of our questions. If you are in the Springfield area I can highly recommend stopping in for a visit. It's like going home!

Who needs Peru when we have Springfield? Tremendous Alpaca Experience.

Not sure that it gets much better than this. We learned so much about Alpacas and their fiber. Judi and Ron shared their experiences and fiber in a way that made us sorry to leave. We even got to feed them!

They have a great display of uncarded fur and fiber that shows the differences between species. They have a gift shop where one can buy local crafts and their yarn. Lots of finished pieces to choose from as well.

My daughter found it thrilling to buy the yarn of an alpaca that we might have seen. Love patronizing small farmers who obviously take pride in what they do.

Great experience. Thank you Ron and Judi!
