Little piece of Americana

Beautiful scene from the outside, however, filled with graffiti on the inside. Still worth the few minutes off the beaten path to see.

Neat old bridge

There really is not much too it. The bridge has lots of graffiti on the inside which is sad. It is one of 13 bridges in the state and the longest of all of them. if you are in the area it is worth stopping for a few minutes but otherwise not worth the drive from somewhere far away.

Info from KY Dept. Tourism

Built 1871, 246 ft. in length, 11 ft. wide. Burr arch truss design. The longest multi-span covered bridge in Kentucky. National Register of Historic Places.

On a beautiful Saturday morning, I asked my husband to go on a motorcycle ride. I had read an article in Kentucky Living Magazine about old general stores. So, I told him I'd like to go to the one in Raywick, KY. On the ride there, we passed a sign for a covered bridge. I said, "Let's go see that."

Rain was coming, so we didn't stay long, but it was definitely interesting to see.

Covered Bridges of Kentucky

Here is a really great find! The bridge has been remodeled recently but you can still see the history when you walk through it, you can’t drive through but still a great part of Kentucky’s history!!!
