Truly an engineering feat. Easy access from the highway, plenty of parking. Great experience for the engineer in the family.

The water was too high for us to pass through at our appointed time. We missed our other stops because of this. However, when we did go through the dam it was interesting, quick, and we enjoyed it.

Good place to visit for a couple of hours if you're interested in how the water power of the Tennessee River was harnessed and controlled. Interseting visitor centre with knowledgeable staff. Look out for the bird life on the banks below the balconies.

This place is very nice. There are lots of things to do in the summer. We found ourselves birdwatching on a lazy afternoon.
