The murals are a quaint part of the downtown area. They depict scenes from the early settlement and business of Paducah and the importance of river trade to the development of the area. Great for early American history buffs. Also, if your kids are into Pokémon Go they will like the PokéStops and gym in the downtown area. They may... More

Was totally amazed at the beautiful artwork. Each mural told a story of this town's past. Set along the Ohio River with benches and walkway it is a place you definitely want to visit while you are in town.

While in Paducah to visit the quilt museum, my wife and I walked over to the flood walls to see the murals. Each panel in rhe wall has a mural depicting some aspect of Paducah's history. There is a plaque in front of each mural explaining the historical significance. There are a couple of opening in the wall that allow... More

A most unique artistic and written history of this charming town. At the convergence of the Ohio and Tennessee rivers, this was once a prominent town. Lewis and Clark came through in their expedition, and General Grant came here to limit confederate influence in a "neutral" state. A must do if you're in Paducah!

This is definitely something unique to probably any city in America. The painted flood walls are beautiful murals that are almost life-like of various things depicting the history of Paducah. Definitely worth a stop off I-24.
