Where else can one learn so much about an area in such a short time while enjoying a pleasant stroll?? The scenes are incredible and tell the story of Paducah beautifully and totally understandable to both locals and first time visitors.

As you visit the riverfront, walk by these lovely murals that depict the history and founders of the area. They are interesting and a nice addition to your river front walk.

These murals are a picture history of Paducah. They cover almost EVERY topic and major Paducah institution from the past. You will especially enjoy them at night when they are lighted. Most every one has a plaque to read about the mural. There are more than a doze of the panels on the old floodwall at the riverfront. It is... More

Even though a Paducah resident, I always enjoy strolling along the floodwall to view the many different panels which very accurately depict our town's history and heritage, alt the way from the time when Indians were the primary residents, through the Atomic Age with the development of the gaseous diffusion plant in the 50's and on to our current status... Good food, fun colorful Caribbean surroundings. We had their bread filled sandwich and coconut crusted chicken. They have a special name for the sandwich-- something like whillydinger.

These are cool depictions of local history. There was a crew working on 'refreshing' them when we were there. That was interesting too. If you're in Paducah, strolling by these is worth the effort. Well done.
