We thought this place was pretty cool. Found some things we wanted to buy but we could not get one single person, including Don, to help us. No one. Interesting stuff though.

I have bought a few things from Don's and could spend all day in his warehouse that is jam packed with art, antiques, and collectibles. When a business in the area closes down, Don buys their signage and anything else he can. Don't try to haggle with him, he is a great guy and has reasonable prices but he sticks to his guns. One of my favorite places to pick.

This is not your grandmother's "charming little shop", but if you're looking for solid vintage furniture - or any number of other things that you might never have guessed existed - Don's is the place to go. We just moved to this city and bought a bureau, three lamps and some other small items for very reasonable prices. Don himself is a character of the first degree. He good-naturedly teases his friends who wander in from time to time, may well tease you, is a storyteller and a funny, funny guy. He has quite a few things that are NOT for sale, but he'll tell you the story behind them if you like. The price of admission is free and the entertainment value is extraordinary.

Some of my best finds have been at Don's. If you are looking for something specific, ask Don! He may have it stuck in a corner that you'll never find without help, or he'll keep an eye out for it. I painted a huge wall unit for my son that was a bargain for solid wood, and it looks like a Pottery Barn unit! I have picked up a picnic basket, vintage audrey hepburn styled vanity (that was in perfect condition), shelving, and much more. I enjoy just going in to see if Don's pirate, the real stuffed bear, and the EMERGENCY sign have sold. Lots of new couches, chairs, and occasional tables are available, but that's not as much fun to find. It's not a froo-froo store. Actually, it's a super duper stacked to the ceiling junk store, never the same store twice.

If you like to hunt for interesting, unique stuff, this place is a treasure trove of opportunities. Yes, it's a little dingy and stuff is crammed to the ceiling, but the prices are right. Don and his staff are friendly and helpful. Very good turnover of merchandise, so there's always something new to discover.
