I was looking for something fun but mostly outdoors (due to COVID) to do while in Cincinnati and figured a river cruise would be just the thing. We decided to do the sunset cruise and while onboard I noticed that it is actually all the options on board at the same time. For example, the people taking the dinner cruise or the wine tasting cruise are all on at the same time. Anyhow, the boats are easy to find and there is plenty of parking. All employees were nice and the ride smooth. There was a band playing and luckily they kept the volume at the perfect level. We basically hung out on deck with a few drinks. The cruise goes down the river a bit and then turns around and comes back. It was fun to see the pyrotechnics from the stadium while out on the water. Overall, the Belle of Cincinnati was very enjoyable.

The fireworks cruise went okay. But some areas could be improved. The chairs on deck are small and weak. Scary for fat people and uncomfortable for every one. The package I purchased was “I thought “ for a reserved table for two with a cheese plate and ice cream sundae included. We did not get a table for two. It was a table for 8. Never got a drink. Never spoke with a server. There was no explanation how to get the things I paid for. We ate dinner and went outside because the seating was overcrowded Later in the trip I went to the gift shop to buy bottled water and the lady in there explained how to get the cheese appetizer and sundae, but no way I was going back inside so that was money wasted. Not enough staff to handle the amount of people stuffed in there like sardines. It was a great way to see the fireworks. If you ever book the trip just make sure you ask more questions about how things work, because no one is going to explain it once you get there.

We had a great time, this 4th of July, at the Captain's Lunch noon cruise. Everything and Everyone was great, from the easy check-in process, food service (buffet served by staff, under the circumstances), sitting in designated spots, and the food itself. The staff was kind, personable, attentive, professional and approachable. Our commentator and entertainer was fun, and informative, as he sang some songs, played banjo and narrated about the history of the area. So surprised to have so much fun playing several rounds of BINGO near the end of our 2 hour cruise. We highly recommend this adventure.

We were excited to share the riverboat fireworks cruise with family we had in from out of town. We purchased 7 tickets and at booking noted when prompted that we were also celebrating my son’s birthday. These 7 tickets after fees came to over $1300. Our group was seated at 2 tables and there was nothing done for the birthday as I had hoped, although I saw some tables had balloons on them. The dinner buffet was out when we boarded and the food was mediocre at best. Given the fact that we would be using a buffet during a time of Covid I hoped to see at minimum hand sanitizer at the buffet but there was none. It also did not appear that the staff used any special Covid precautions at any time. Dessert was gone quickly and I did not see them ever refresh it. A second snack buffet was out out at 8 that consisted of watery bbq sliders, cheese, chips and pretzels.
The DJ did a good job of playing music throughout the cruise. The fireworks were awesome, of course, but it was difficult to find a good place on the boat to view them from. Many on board also smoked throughout the cruise as smoking was allowed everywhere except inside. This made for a long few hours outside for those bothered by cigarette smoke.
Overall, just the fact that my family could be together for several hours and see the fireworks together saved the night but we definitely could have done that without paying $1300 for a lackluster cruise. Live and learn.

We made a big mistake by going on a BB river boat cruise for the WEBN fireworks. We boarded at 3:30 and they served alcohol nonstop without any type of cut off for the next seven hours. People were absolutely hammered. One group of eight decided they would sing at the top of their lungs and change every other word to begin with F and end with CK. The man at our table could barely even walk after the first three hours. His female companion had to hold him up as he staggered around finding more to drink. It just got dirtier and dirtier and stickier and stickier and more garbage was all over the boat. I felt trapped on a white trash floating bar. At one point I turned my friend and said do you think they’d mind if we jumped. I would’ve rather swam back to the docks then spend another minute there
They billed it as a family friendly cruise. I really need to know whose family they were talking about.
It was really crowded. A lot of people started chain-smoking and it was difficult to breathe. The boat was littered with garbage and it was sticky and disgustingly filthy as the night were on and people got drunker and drunker and drunker

We 4 went on the lunch cruise. It said loading started at 11:00, sailing at noon. We thought that meant that lunch would be served once we were underway. Turned out it was served starting at 11:00, once the boat started at noon, the buffet was cleared. The food was good and they were good at accommodating my food allergy with the salad, but I could only two choices on the buffet, but that's my issue not theirs. Drinks are extra. 2 full hours of boat ride was too much, would have been better if some of the time was spent eating the meal and then maybe an hour on the deck. Oh and the paddle wheel, did not move. It would have been nice if it was moving even if it was just for show.

We took the grandkids and my daughther on a sightseeing cruise. The kids are 9 and twin boys 8. Wish they had some activities for the kids. We have been on their dinner cruises many time but felt as though the kids were bored. This was the first sightseeing cruise and i am sure there are other cruises for kids.
We have really enjoy B&B Riverboats for years and would highly recommend anyone to go.
Great outing!!

we'd skipped that part. The dining room was so cold we couldn't enjoy our dinner. Literally so many around us were complaining of the temperature in there. We were 15 minutes waiting to get drinks. Wed nearly finished our meal before our drinks were served. The only drinks offered that was included was water or unsweetened tea. Even soda was extra.
Food, just so so. Much like you'd get at Golden Coral. The staff was very slow to keep the buffet stocked. We never got dessert. They didn't restock it, or at least not while we were there. I was so cold, I just wanted to go on the deck. I wish we'd just eaten somewhere locally before we did the cruise.
There wasn't really anything for kids to do during the cruise. A dj was there and played great music. People and kids danced.
I wish there had been tables to sit at on deck. There's plenty of seating, but very uncomfortable plastic chairs.
We'd possibly do a future cruise, but for sure skip the dinner

My husband surprised me with the riverboat tour for our anniversary. It was absolutely wonderful. As soon as you boarded the boat, they took a nice picture of your group. I wish he'd purchased the breakfast buffet because it looked great. However, we had the trio snack pachage and it was really tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the cheese, shrimp, salami, crackers, chips, guacamole and the mustard dip was delicious. There was a bar where you could purchase any kind of drink you wanted. The bartender (Minnie) was great!! The live music was very festive and really added to the experience and enjoyment of the day. The duo would narrate the journey with tidbits of history.
I wish the cruise would have gone a little bit further down towards Dayton, Kentucky, but it was still a great day.
All the staff and crew were very nice, friendly and accommodating. I would definitely do this again and purchase the breakfast buffet.

The customer service was great!
We did the Pirate Cruise and they did a very nice job. My only feedback would be that when you are doing the Pirate activity you are in one of the dining rooms and can't see any of the Ohio River Scenery. The Pirate Activities were great but didn't get much boat experience.

Can you bring a small cooler

A cooler no, but you can take a bottle of water and no one checks your bags so you should be able to bring maybe juices for the kiddies and some snacks in the purse.
What is the cruise path? Exactly what do the cruises go by?
Katrina S
New Haven, IN34 contributions
It all depends on the length of your cruise. A typical lunch or dinner cruise will go 5-7 miles up the river and back. A sightseeing cruise will stay mostly in the downtown area. All of our cruises provide the best viewing possible of the Cincinnati area.

Did you know there was smoking. I find nothing in the marketing material and no attempt made to control it
Katrina S

Yes, smoking is allowed, but only on the outside decks. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the interior cabin of the boat.
