Fun and food
Nov 2016 • Couples
We were at the Funny Bone to see Jon Lovitz. We were not aware of the restaurant portion of the club until just before we went and were impressed by the good selection of food and drinks. The seating at tables allowed us to talk with our friends, eat and then watch the show. Be aware that there is a two item minimum, but a drink and an appetizer or meal easily takes care of that. Great fun with extremely convenient parking in the garage just outside the club.

Laughed My A-- Off !!!!!
Oct 2015 • Friends
Definitely will go back. Lots and lots of unknown talent. I mean it would be hard to say that no one was laughing or having a good time. Seating is pretty good, prices are reasonable, everyone is very courteous. If I had to think of things I didn't like it would be standing in the long lines when you get there and when some of the staff come to your table and try to solicit "prizes", it's usually $20. That adds up quick if you get the food and drinks. You should definitely check it out at least once. You'll have a god time and it's worth it.

Pros and cons if you have been to other Funny Bones
Jan 2016 • Couples
Pros- seating is better than say toledo. You can buy tickets ahead of time (but make sure your receipt has your table on it). They offer groupon and the Groupon has 2 bottomless pops for two adults which counts towards two of your items. Wait staff was nice. The lady seating us was pleasant.

Cons- they are sticklers about the 2 item min per person. The space to wait in line in is crowded, loud, and stuffy. Bathrooms were gross. Food was subpar for price IMO. One staff member got into an argument with a patron and it was a big scene prior to the show :-(

Overall worth it if you are doing other things at the levee....but I wouldn't drive just for this (we drove over 3 hours).

Just NOPE.
Jan 2016 • Friends
Nope...Bought tickets online, easy peasy. Showed up at 9:30 for the 10:30 show and was herded into a line for the next hour. They didn't even open the doors so we all could sit down. Opening act was a funny guy, local and amusing. The mainliner was great, lots of laughs and VERY MUCH a great comedian (Dean Edwards-great Denzel impression, by the way).
Now as to the food, not bad, had an appetizer then split a steak and potato. Had maybe 4 total alcoholic beverages and 2 cokes in total. Had to ask twice for a water, had to ask twice for a second plate to split the food. "Server" brings the check, I pay with plastic but I always tip in cash so they don't have to report it. Server picks up the check then comes and takes my coke away after I've had 2 sips stating "I didn't even charge you for that". WHAT? CHARGE me for it, don't TAKE it back. THEN walks by a few minutes later, seemingly timed lol, and as the comedian says to take care of your wait staff because they work hard, looks in my direction and says quite loudly, "for that FIFTEEN PERCENT". Rude. I followed him into the kitchen and asked him if there was some problem with the check. He gets a little weird and mumbles something like "no, -stutter-, it's fine". UNBELIEVABLE rudeness. I WAS leaving a $20 on the table for the $80 check but decided not to reward behavior like that. I KNOW servers work hard. I ALWAYS tip around 30 to 40 percent because of it. I am a HUGE tipper. I don't care about the automatic gratuity, I don't care what the prices are, I just like to take care of the people that take care of me. I tip the people at subway. Seriously. I've never had such rude service and I would never tolerate that kind of behavior. I live 10 minutes from the Funny Bone but I'll be making the drive to Go Bananas from now on. I read the reviews before going, but I typically have a good time no matter what, this guy completely ruined the experience and I am pretty pissed about it. I own a business and I work VERY hard for positive feedback, so I'm typically reluctant to leave negative feedback, but they EARNED it. WILL NOT RETURN.

Last minute night out
Oct 2015 • Friends
Been a while since going to a comedy club! Fun atmosphere, two item minimum, per person but reasonably priced beers and food, $4/$5. Pretzels were good, but server took them away too soon, as we were watching the comics, and took plate with two full pretzels left, (came with three!). Comedians were very good, and enjoyed them immensely. Other than server taking pretzels too soon, was a fun night!

miscommunications
Oct 2015 • Couples
The show we went to see was really excellent, both the headliner and his warm up act were very funny without being overly crude. Drinks were fine. Food was average for bar food.
The administration of the club left a bit to be desired, however. Our ticket said to arrive by 6:00 for good seats: when the first of our group arrived at 5:55, they were told that the doors did not open until 6:30 and they didn't start serving until 7:00 so they went to another nearby bar to wait. When the rest of us got there at 6:01 we found that the doors were open and the bar was ready to serve drinks, although it was difficult to get a bartender's attention to place an order. Once we were seated inside the club, things were better until the waitresses came around with checks at the end, which for both our table and the table next to us were incorrect, resulting in the need for a lot of conversation which made it very difficult to hear the performer.

Great Main Act....disappointing opener
Oct 2015 • Couples
We attended a Saturday night event and screened the main act to make sure the content would be enjoyable for our group, which it was....VERY funny and we kept repeating some of the story topics the rest of the weekend. The opening act, however, was quite the opposite...every few words were F....Some of the topics were amusing but the continuous use of a limited vocabulary of 4 letter words was unappealing. The acts should be chosen better to be of similiar "rating" for the audience.

Also, there is a 2 drink minimum, which is a little rushed if you arrive just for the show. Just be aware.

Very cramped
May 2015 • Friends
Group of us girls went to see Rob Schneider. We were happy where we were seated, however, they had people packed in there like sardines. It was very cramped and a little uncomfortable. The server was quick to take our order, but took a while to get our drinks. Enjoyed the show.

Hot and Cold
Feb 2015 • Couples
What's hot - the comedian's. We saw Brad Williams and Gary Menke, both are CRAZY funny. I laughed so much my side was hurting when we left!

What's cold - the food and service. I ordered buffalo chicken tenders (hard to mess that up I thought), they were definitely frozen food and cold when I got them. I like TYSON chicken tenders MUCH better than these.

My wife ordered a quesadilla, which she said was 'pretty good'. Unfortunately they serviced my food during the first act (of three comedians) and I had to ask for her food, which came during the headliner act.

Lastly a manager kept walking back and forth in front of us (and the entire first aisle of tables). I never saw him carrying anything or assisting customers so this was frustrating and distracting.

Bottom line for the Funny Bone - expect great comedy.

Don't expect good food or service and you won't be disappointed.
