People complain about the condition of the cars. They're antiques. Want comfort and style ride Amtrak. That being said, the COVID cop was very active, making certain to tell everyone to wear a mask. Must have been 4 or 5 staff up and down the isle the whole ride, which didn't stop as advertised. Train maybe went 10 miles or so, stopping only to go back the other way. Wanted to take the ride in the engine but COVID gave them a reason to shut that down. Also, if I want hand sanitizer I'll get it. Don't just spray it on me before boarding the train. A little history about the train itself would have been nice. No idea how old the car was we rode in, when and where it began service and when it was retired. As another person said. Nothing to see but trees and a turtle at the pond.

The train museum was sort of interesting but the train ride itself was dreadful. It was simply a down and back trip in uncomfortable seats, no stops, no historical information about the area we were traveling, and all we could see were trees passing by our windows....I can see that on the highway. Don't waste your money.

I am sorry that your trip was disappointing. We always have someone on board giving a history or we have a narrative that is played, I apologize if that was not done, what day did you ride? The train is a bit different now with no stops because of Covid.

My 2 young son and I experience the Polar Express train ride from New Haven, KY. We had experienced a similar "Polar Express" ride in Loveland, OH. Riding the train was very fun for us. Kids love the experience of going through the countryside seeing the cows and horses. Going over several bridges also excited them. Due to warm weather, no snow to make it the real feel of going to the north pole. The warm hot chocolate was a delight as well as the cookie. The santa Clause with the real beard was fabulous. He was wonderful to the kids. In addition, the various elves, talking with each kids was a joy. There was not too much holiday singing as I had hoped. Having a choir or some group singing would have been great. More song would have been great. The disappointment was not having a slaybell for the kids to take home. I would not take this trip again.
