Worth it for the mineatures alone, they are amazing. Large research library for those interested and very good museum of the history of the area. Plus the graveyard with stones from the 18th and 19th centuries. I don't think it is the original cemetary, just...More

We were told by several of the shop owners in town that their museum had a new exhibit of miniature homes/rooms that we just had to see. Are we ever glad we took them up on the visit to the museum. The miniatures are a...More

We picked up a brochure about the museum at a miniature show. The details looked interesting. We had no idea what a treasure we would find when we recently traveled to the north-east town on the Ohio river. I had always held the miniature Thorne...More

The museum is very nicely done, and has a nice bit for children, but the Miniatures collection is a must see! If you like hand crafts, there are miniature representations, many doll-house models of famous houses and regular houses. Not children's toys, professionally done. Just...More

Typical history Museum with a lot of different artifacts. Honestly a lot of the written text on the displays was informative, but too much for me to take in on a brief stop. Miniatures collection however was pretty amazing. Didn’t think I would find it...More

We had very good luck researching an ancestor who came through Maysville in very early days. Myra was very helpful and everything was fairly easy to find which was nice for folks who hadn't been there before. They have a lot of material there and...More

This place alone is worth the journey to Maysville. Mrs. Browning has given our Commonwealth a remarkable gift in the miniatures museum. Take your children. Take your parents! You will be amazed. The tiny decorations for Christmas were breath taking.

We only had one hour before the museum closed so we didn't get to see all the exhibits. The miniture room can take a couple of hours if you really look at all the pieces.

I agree with Karol, except that I can spend the entire day there appreciating the mini-views, I hope that you love the visit as much as I had!
