Cool, attractive place to visit on a hot, humid day in Louisville. Places to sit and relax in each room. Good art, not many truly ugly modern pieces.

We went for the Thunder of Louisville, and it was a great time. Watched the airshow, ate at the different vendors. They had some great bands in the afternoon, then a great fireworks show that evening.

We visited this park while visiting a lot of the attractions in this historic town. I had lived in this area as a child for a year and it was nice to be able to revisit it. Great fun had by all.

There are a couple of restaurants. Joe's Crab shack comes to mind. But I don't believe there is outdoor seating and dog friendly. If you go up a few blocks off of the river, there are up around Main street.

Thunder is, I am told, the largest fireworks display in the US. It is really incredible, especially when viewed from the nearby Waterfront. It is preceded by an afternoon air show, with lots of interesting planes (often... More
