Our family visits a lot of zoos and are lucky to be close to the St. Louis zoo which is rated #3 in the country and it's free! This zoo had a lot of animals but many of the animals that are Social animals were kept by themselves and the habitats were sad with regards to the animal's comfort and... More

I have lived within walking distance of the Louisville Zoo for over four years, and had never visited until recently. I went for a daytime visit, and I really enjoyed myself! The zoo had a lot of interesting animals and exhibits, although their selection of animals was nowhere near as large as other nearby zoos (most notably the Cincinnati Zoo).... More

As a health minded individual, my mother started a new walking regiment, and what better of a place to walk than the Louisville Zoo. I was surprised to see all the new/updated exhibits the Zoo had to offer. Primarily the African continent addition which included a family of Gorillas. Walking strictly for exercise also brings back my childhood imagination of... More

We had a great time and some exercise visiting the Louisville Zoo, then went to Louisville Mega Caverns afterwards. Enjoyable!

Zoo in November. There were about a half dozen animals not on display because of the cold, but it was still an awesome visit.

The new exhibits are really nice but there is a lot of work to do to that place to really make it worth the money... If a local buy membership its much more worth the money.

I went here with my 6month old baby and his dad late in the afternoon. The animals hardly engaged with the guest and they seemed a little sad. The employees were all different; we came across some who were very friendly and some who were unfriendly. An hour before closing we went to Wild Burger (the one inside of the... More

By far the best value for your money. Wear good walking shows because the zoo is huge. Great for families, couples, or single people. The polar bear exhibit is really cool.

Louisville zoo is one of the best in the country. Educational and fun for the kids. The gorilla exhibit is interesting and my personal favorite .
