While this zoo isn’t real big, it has a great variety of animal exhibits, and ones that allow you to see the animals up very closely. There is a really cool area called the Wallaby Walkthrough, where you literally get to walk around and there...More

Even though it was chilly when we got there, we enjoyed our time at the zoo. Without other people around, we got a little lost to start. We loved seeing the animals, although a little disappointed some weren’t out due to the weather. We got...More

We planned a trip to Louisville for Spring Break. My husband purchased tickets in advance. Then the sinkhole happened. We called for a refund, and a lady answered, told us to call the business office. We couldn’t find the number for the business office, so...More

We love going to the zoo all year long, but especially in the winter. Although some of the outdoor exhibits aren't open, the zoo has plenty of exhibits inside and there aren't too many folks around. Sometimes it feels like our own private zoo. The...More

A very nice Zoo. This Zoo makes a huge circle, when you get exactly half way, there is a Restaurant, Public Bathrooms and at the Restaurant, they sell Beer to cool off on those hot days. The Gorilla Exhibit is very nice!

My family (2 young kids) visits the zoo quite often. We have an annual pass which makes it convenient to avoid crowds at the entrance on a busy day. Sometimes we just go for a walk, other times to visit one specific exhibit. Having tbe...More

No, I have not done the Pygmy Hippo experience. I think under the right circumstances with the right people it would be an interesting experience.
