We came to see the Colonel Sanders gravesite (section 33), but drove around for almost an hour trying to find it. I downloaded a map online for help. The cemetery is huge and very beautiful. It's a great way to kill some time if you're waiting for a place to open.

We took a quick cruise through the historic Cave Hill cemetery a few weeks ago when we were in Louisville for a long weekend. The place is huge and beautiful, we saw Muhammad Ali’s final resting place and of course Colonel Sanders as well. The place is ancient and beautiful with some amazing monuments to those who have passed. Close... More

What a beautiful final resting place! Grab a map and visit some of the incredible monuments throughout the cemetery. You will spend two to three hours there!

This was worth a stroll. Spent 2 or 3 hours walking around. Lots of ornate grave markers dating back to mid-1800s. I recommend getting a map from the office, then driving to each section, parking on the road (allowed), and walking around. Trying to walk the whole thing would be a full day adventure. The cemetery closes before 5, so... More

We wanted to pay our respect to this great champion. The cemetery is huge!! It took us a while to find the site. It is guided by yellow arrows starting where the administration offices are.

Saw Colonel Sanders in section 33 (white stripe on road) & Muhammed Ali in section U (green stripe on road). The oldest we found were section A in the front. What I just shared will save you a lot of time. 😊

Visted Mohammed Ali and Colonel Sanders. Beautiful cemetery that you can get a map to at the front gate. Well kept and maintained. Interesting headstones.
