This is the most beautiful cemetery I have ever seen. You sometimes get the impression that you're in a park or a botanical garden with all of the impressive landscaping. Famous Louisvillians and other Kentuckians are buried there. You can see hundred year old headstones or more recent headstones. I found myself driving around the winding trails with my jaw... More

We stumbled across this cemetery on a recent visit to Louisville. Did not know that it was the final resting place of Muhammad Ali and Colonel Sanders (KFC). Very peaceful and extremely beautiful. Could spend hours walking around and looking at the gravesites. Follow the green line on the road to see Muhammad Ali's grave. Follow the yellow line to... More

Walking around Cave Hill Cemetery is a look into the past, as well as the present. Tombs of soldiers, famous Kentuckians, and also decorative monuments all add to the incredible and interesting facets of this cemetery.

Wow! and Amazing! My husband and I so enjoyed our walk through the cemetery that we plan on coming back when ever we go through or stop in Louisville again. We are planning on keeping the map and checking off the areas that we have visited. We could easily have spent an entire week strolling through, reading and appreciating all... More

We have visited a lot of cemeteries in different parts of the world. This one is big and beautiful. A lot of nature. Quiet, serene, historical and very, very green. When you get through the main entrance go to the Administrative office and get a map. You can do the tour yourself with the map. We saw Muhammad Ali and... More

When touring a town I always enjoy visiting an interesting cemetery, especially where people of note are buried. Cave hill cemetery is like a beautiful park with beautiful memorial pieces. The map provided at the entrance makes it easier to find the graves of Col. Sanders and Mohammed Ali. Worth the time to visit.

Cave Hill Cemetery is so beautiful. Pictures do not even begin to give the full experience. The monuments range from peaceful to sad to happy to beautiful. The grounds are extremely well kept. This visit is not just for cemetery or history people; it is for anyone.

Famous residents include the sisters that created the "happy birthday" song, Pappy van winkle, Colonel Sanders and Muhammed Ali. Visit the caretaker at the gate to receive a map of points of interest. The cemetery is quite large so doubtful you will find these all on your own. Beautifully maintained grounds resemble more of a national park, historically preserved area.

Beautiful, especially in the fall. Go to the lake. Check out the bamboo grove. Lovely to walk. Visit the "Colonel" and Ali.
