at night the music pounds so loud (good luck sleeping) people smoking and selling drugs at night. occasional gun fire. stink bugs and lady bugs swarm from the park into your house. and the car show, you get to hear loud speakers, cars exhaust revving up and cars racing down the street all day. and any marathons- they block your... There are free movies offered in the summer plus concerts and talks periodically. Just recently Stephen King gave a talk about his writing. Granted it sold out months in advance but how cool is that. Also, in the fall we have the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular that draws rave reviews. Sure it's between $12-$15 for adults but the carved pumpkins are truly... More

The is a good little park with a fun hike up the paved hill. It isn't in the greatest part of town so I recommend visiting during the day. I've always visited it in a group. I've also heard many people say not to visit at night. I did this once with just one other person and was a little... More

I was raised near the park and love what it has to offer. The Iroquois Amphitheater offer free events so check that out. Nice play ground walking trails and more. grab a picnic and have a wonderful day.

We used to go walking at this park all of the time and take the kids to the playground (there is a splash fountain) occasionally. The loop around the park is a nice walk/run/bike ride..it took me about an hour to complete it. Now, the playground? I don't know how else to say this except that when it's warm outside... More

Iroquois park is really a great park. You can go to the top of the hills & see all over Louisville. It is safe to walk around the loops for a total of about 8 miles if you do both the down & up loop. Great outdoor ampitheater. Free monthly movies during the summer.

I have been going to this park for 50 years. It was much safer when I was a child. Urban sprawl has changed the demographics of the area and I would not run/jog in this park now. A large group on a picnic would be great. The overlook is worth a drive and there are many beautiful parts in this... More

My wife loves to go up Sideling Hill, which is a few miles worth of walking. The view from on top of the hill is just incredible. You can see all of Southern Indiana and Louisville. Great photo opportunity.

Aside from being a beautiful park, it is rich with history. There are some great hiking trails and walking/bike tracks. Their disk golf course is fantastic! Tennis courts, playgrounds, car shows, a lookout, riding stables, huge concerts and the always wonderful jack-o-lantern stroll.
