Wonderful experience! Take the tour! Visit the museum. The movie is brief but fantastic! Barry was our tour guide and he was excellent! I have now definitely added attendance to a Derby to my Bucket List!

This wasn't my first trip to the Downs, but it was the first time I had been when there were no races. It's certainly a historical site and the museum is pretty nice, but if you want the real experience, you should see a horse...More

First horse racing event I ever attended. Didnt expect it to be much fun, but with a bit of betting it is. Very nice venue, lot of flair, lots of fun. Will come again!

We were able to visit Churchill Downs the last weekend of Spring racing. This was great fun for us. Our seats were at the finish line and we enjoyed 10 races. Staff we encountered were very helpful to us newbies.

Place was really cool. Our problem was that we got there late as things were beginning to wind down for the day so we didn't get to go on any tours. The museum was interesting however and a great gift shop. We hope to be...More

I love going to Churchill Downs. It's always a good time, even if you lose. The place is beautiful and I love watching the horses. You can spend as little or as much money as you want and still have a good time.

I have been to the actual Derby and also went on the museum and tour several times. This was my 3rd visit. My group was thrilled and yours will be too. Historical, cool and awesome.

If there is a thunder storm do the horses still race ? What seats are out of the weather? We are thinking of coming down this weekend.

I'm pretty sure they will run in the rain, but not if there's lightning and thunder. There is a good portion of seats under cover. You'd have to call the track to get the location. It was great fun when we went. Try the mint... More

I have bought 6 tickets for the box seating in sec 221 for this Sunday. The 6 tickets are for adults, but will I be able to bring my child in also to our box?

I think you had best check with Churchill Downs. I've seen children before but I would think they will need ticket as well. Years ago we took our kids and if they had a seat, we had to pay. Better safe than sorry - confirm.

During racing days, most things are open. The Derby Café is open other times as well.
