Both the restaurants and the clubs have high cover charges and once inside the drink prices are pretty stiff too. There are supposed to be dress codes to require a collared shirt and non-baggy pants, but the locals fought the dress code and anything goes. There is an occasional free outside concert here for the public. No shopping to speak... More

Very vibrant and active pedestrian mall, filled with restaurants, bars and live entertainment much of the time. Popular with many, but very loud and crowded at night. Decent experience on Friday night, but negative experience on Saturday! The live concert in the open street area charged a $15 cover to get in. As a result, the street was blocked from... More

My husband and I stopped here and had a blast! There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, we had an early dinner at hard rock cafe, and ventured and explored a few other places, Young The Giant was having a concert (they hold concerts and other events under the covered area quite often, it was a lot... This block long pedestrian area is covered from the elements. There are several bars and restaurants including the Hard Rock and Howling at the Moon. A fun place to visit.

This was a slow weekend & there wasn't the crowd we had expected. Nice atmosphere, just a bit too quiet.

A very interesting safe and fairly busy place right in the middle of town. Very good places to eat, good bars and an urban Jim Bream mini distillary. Partially covered walkway with on vehicles on this block

Good downtown area. We went during the day on a Sunday so not much going on but could see where it would be the place to be on a weekend evening. Good selection of bars, restaurants and shopping. We parked several blocks away so can't really say much about parking but would love to be able to go back when... More

My husband and I walked through here on our way to the Big Four Bridge. We didn't have time to stop, as we hadn't planned on going here, but I now wish we had. This seems like it has something for everyone. We aren't really nightlife people, but this is definitely a place we will stop at the next time... More

As a local, we love 4th Street Live! For lunch, dinner, or just to unwind. A huge variety of restaurants and nightclubs (we're looking forward to Guy Fieri's place which will be opening soon).

It has been twenty years since my last visit to Louisville. The night life is really great with the variety available. I especially liked the Jim Beam shop with the price being reasonable for the tasting. Guy Ferrairi is building a new restaurant and can't wait to go back. Friday night and Saturday are full of bachelorette parties.
