Enjoyed our tour of the grounds & of the production facilities that Marker's Mark offers. The tasting offers a sample, wish there was more, of all the lines MM offers & ended with the ability to purchase & dip our own bottles.

If you want to know a bit about how bourbon is made this is a place to visit. Our tour guid was funny and very knowledgeable about what was being done in the distillery. There is a tasting which was also very fun and of course there is a gift shop. You can even dip your own bottle (in wax)... More

We had planned a Bourbon Trail visit for years, glad we finally did it. Beautiful country drive from Louisville through the rolling hills. Very interesting and informative tour that had history, science and folklore in a scenario, historic locale. Tasting was interesting, really helped understand how to chose and sip good Bourbon (quantities were small enough that you should not... More

We had a superb visit. Even though it was rainy, it was just a really pleasurable experience. Our tour guide was professional and well spoken. The facility is pristine and it's a fascinating process to learn about. We hand-dipped a bottle of bourbon and which was a little touristy but still super fun. I'm not a huge bourbon fan, but... A few friends and I went to Maker's Mark as part of a tour and I think this was our longest stretch at a distillery. The tour went on for a touch too long in my opinion but it was interesting. They are extremely proud of their product and it shows all the way through their presentation. I doubt I... More

The grounds are beautiful! The tour is comprehensive and gives you a really good feel for the process from beginning to end. From tasting the mash to watching the bottling you will see it all. Even the hand dipping of each bottle in the iconic red wax. The great thing is when its all over you go to the gift... More

What a GREAT day! While visiting family in Lexington, we decided to take the hop (about an hour outside of Lexington) to the Makers Mark Distillery. The funny thing is I am not a large fan of Kentucky Bourbon, but I will admit the tour at Makers Mark really was a great day out. The drive to the distillery is... More

We went out to the middle of nowhere to do a tasting and dip our own bottles of Maker's. You can't pay for just a tasting because the manager wants you to take away the story behind the bourbon and not just a tasting. Fine if you have the time but we just wanted to buy a few bottles to... More

This is a beautiful distillery. Be prepared to walk quite a bit, simply to visit the gift shop or to taste. It is a distance. Scenery is beautiful. Part of the drive here is on a one lane road which I found to be neat but signage to let you know you were on the correct path would be nice.... More

I'll be brief. We paid for the tour on Jan 21st 2017 - a Saturday. It was my bad, that I assumed production and bottling would be in progress. I called the tour manager and was told they don't work on weekends. In the wine country of California, all most ALL wineries have production tours on Saturdays., and i was... More
