It's nice that they've preserved the downtown theater. We didn't see a movie there, but they do show old movies there in the theater.

Set in downtown Lexington, with free nearby parking, this theatre is something special. It is a "proper" theatre with interesting architecture and real atmosphere. Classic movies are shown every Wednesday during summer months and prior to the film (we saw John Wayne in The Searchers) we were entertained by a gentleman playing a traditional theatre organ. He even included a... More

This is one of my favorite places in Lexington. The theatre has been restored and refurbished in the last few years but has still retained many original features and its old charm. This is a great place to catch indie or art house films that may not come to larger theaters, as well as classic films and some regular events... More

If your in town visiting or a local then this place is a must on your to-do list. The Architectural is elaborate and mind blowing. The craftsmanship take you back to another time. This theatre serves alcoholic beverages with a nice Merlot. Even if the movie isn't satisfactory then you will still enjoy yourself!

Beer and bourbon, ambiance, concerts, and first run AND independent movies. What more could you ask for?

We traveled to Lexington for a University of Kentucky campus trip and was looking for top attractions and noticed this gem. When looking up showing, we spotted Star Wars and knew I had no choice but to buy tickets for all of us (4). It took me back 30 years to the movie theater when I was growing up and... More

This is a great theatre and they have really renovated it nicely. It serves alcohol and there's plenty of room to move around and use the restroom. I have attended two events here for the Rocky Horror Picture Show midnight participatory theatre and had a great time. I'd suggest going here for midnight movies as well. It's in a great... More

I went for a screening of a documentary but couldn't take my eyes off the beauty of the theater itself. It was amazing and I'm sure it had some interesting history but I didn't have time to research. It was a delightful venue to see a film in and I highly recommend stopping in.

Here on the 30th anniversary waiting for the Delorean to show up in the future. A great old theater with new comfortable seats. Prices for tickets and popcorn really reasonable.

I absolutely love coming to movies here! I am especially fond of their Summer Classics Series. Having a restored treasure like this so close is a real treat. Manager Fred Mills is often present taking tickets or overseeing concessions and he is a genuinely nice gentleman. On Summer Classics nights (Wednesdays) the concessions area can get very crowded prior to... More
