The Boone Creek Zip Line Canopy Tour is the newest way to access and experience the historic and spectacular Boone Creek Gorge. Our 2 1/2 hour canopy tour and zip line adventure will have you soaring in and above the trees, over the creek and through the palisades on a series of zip lines, suspended bridges and staircases. The custom “cloud cut” of our platforms and world-class construction enhances this incredible natural resource located just minutes from Downtown Lexington, Ky. You will learn about the historic role this gorge played in our local and national history, about how the unique geology helped shape our communities identity and where the “signature brands” we are known for today came from. Guides will point out seasonally unique flora and fauna that can be enjoyed from these dramatic perspectives, you will hear stories about Daniel Boone as well as lesser known local legends, all while having a great time outdoors! Back story-So I am a newbie to the outdoor air games because I WAS afraid of heights. My sisters took the op for me and signed me up for the leap.

Now let's get to the guys that are wacky, warm and welcoming. I want you to get ready to laugh your heart to content and when you think too long and cant zip they got you. That's when the guys earn their supper and like a quality mechanic they screw in those loose bolts and you GO! This might just appear to be a "zip line spot" but Christian & Blake are consummate professional that takes their craft serious. Blake don't forget to read Servant Leader by Greenleaf (inside joke); this was such a powerful life experience for my confidence (unexpectedly) I feel like what I image a Super Hero would feel like after saving themselves (smile).
P.S To the BOSS when Blake reads the Servant Leadership book both him and Christian need to be moved up from Black Lanyards to GREEN ( you get it, Greenleaf...highest level of service).

Boone Creek Challenge

I recently learned about this place and was excited to give it a try. Me, my fiance and my 7 year old booked the obstacle course. We all had an absolute blast! From the easy check in to the short downhill walk (which means uphill on the way back!) to getting out gear on (safety harness, helmets and gloves) it was as simple and smooth as could be. The challenge course had recently opened and it was so much fun. My 7 year old was a little nervous on the first couple obstacles but quickly gained confidence and was flying through it by the end. The last part is a small zipline which was awesome. Our guide was Lee who was great... super knowledgeable, friendly and great with my 7 year old. The area is beautiful. We can't wait to come back soon and do the zipline tour. Highly recommend this to everyone of all ages!

My family & I did the ropes course (family included my Dad, husband, 6 yr old boy and 4 yr old girl) and IT.WAS.AWESOME. We absolutely loved it!! Our guide (Landon, I think I remember) was so funny and helpful, truly made it such a fun experience. We loved watching our kids conquer their fears and we had time to do the course twice, which ended in a small zip line. Such a fun morning outside that we all just absolutely loved. The staff, the grounds, the course were just awesome, thank you!! Can’t wait to come back when the kids are heavy enough to do the zip line.

Daniel Boone's Challenge

My kids did the new Daniel Boone's Challenge that we were told was opened in April of 2021. This is a great course for the kids and it is they had an amazing time. Jaime was an awesome guide who was patient with the kids and taught them how the system worked. He was attentive to their safety and very nice. We would highly recommend this for your kids! Ours were 9 and 11 years old and had a blast!

I am rating this as average because I was highly disappointed that we we were charged a chaperone fee of $20 on top of the $39 per kid that was not initially disclosed on the website or prior to our experience. My kids are 9 and 11 and they did not need me up on the course to help them through it and I feel the fee was a deceptive charge. If you want to charge more then just charge more but please do not add on fees after we arrive and complete the course.

We are so glad you had fun on your visit to Boone Creek outdoors. I'm personally disappointed that your experience was impacted by our chaperone fee which applies to young children. Our fee is displayed and required during our online check in process and included in the description on our website for potential walk up customers. While we haven't had this complaint before, and the three star review is very concerning (and unprecedented) we will look into how we can better draw attention to the prices posted on our website. Wonderful birthday fun for our son

Such a fun place! We had not been zip lining before, but this was terrific for beginners or those with experience.
We felt very safe and the environment was beautiful! Very educated guides who were very safety conscious.
Thanks for a great time! We will definitely be back.

This was an excellent adventure. Our party consisted of 3 generations and we all had a great time! We all would recommend this to our friends and other family members. We felt that the guides definitely made the adventure enjoyable and safe. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very personable.

The top attraction in central Kentucky

We had a group of ten who took the canopy tour last weekend. It was the first zipping experience for most of us, and everyone loved it. I live within an easy drive, so I will be taking others in my family to join me in another afternoon of fun. This was a terrific adventure.
The developers of the site seemed to be very careful to preserve the environment, and we saw aspects of nature that I didn't know existed in Fayette County.
I would rate Boone Creek Outdoors and the Ky Horse Park as the top tourist destinations in central Kentucky, and the horse park is not as exciting as zipping through the trees.

I love having this so close to my home, I grew up on Boone Creek and think what the Carey's have done with Eco tourism canopy tours is such a great way to see the Gorge from a different perspective! I would and have recommended this do everyone!

Best outdoor activity 20 minutes from downtown Lexington

Boone creek outdoors canopy tours combines a fun activity with a unique observation of a rich natural environment that we are privileged to have access to in this area. The guides and sturdy equipment will make anyone comfortable within minutes of the activity. Professionalism is obvious, but the atmosphere is relaxed. The course is designed with ultimate respect of the nature it relies on in mind, and it offers a unique way to discover a beautiful area. We need organizations such as BCO to make sure that future generations realize the importance of preserving our environment. Great activity for kids, but fun for people of all ages and levels of fitness!
