There are a lot of horse farm tours with good reviews, and I'll admit I picked this one because it offered a pick-up at my hotel in addition to the good reviews. I totally loved the whole experience. Our guide, David, had lots of interesting commentary from start to finish. We first drove around the downtown area which David pointed... More

We had just a few hours in Lexington, so the 3 hour tour here was perfect for us. The short bus was comfortable, and with 6 of us on board, David made it very informal yet informative. On our way out of town, we passed through the historic downtown and David pointed out several key places. The rest of the... More

We were visiting from out of town an arranged the Hooch, History, Horses tour for ten people. David was our tour guide and he entertained us from 9:30 to 3 with stories, jokes and quizzes. It was apparent that David truly wanted us all to have a good time and really enjoy the sights of Lexington. We had two 90... More

Just a quick note of thanks and recommendation for Blue Grass Tours - specifically to the incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly guide, David. David was a walking repository of information for the greater Lexington area if not his state. As a family we really appreciated his attention to detail and inclusion of our young kids.

Wife and I were in group of only seven people plus driver (David) in small bus. He picked us up at our hotel and started out in the older section of Lexington. Transylvania University and houses build around revolutionary war times. Went to Buffalo Trace Distillery (Frankfort) nice tour- not rushed at all. We ate lunch (included) at an old... More

David was a great guide: knowledgeable and personable. The kind of guy who becomes your friend for the day, he provided a wonderful overview of "Horses, Hooch and History", in a conveniently timed and structured six hour tour of the Lexington area. I had the special treat of being the first pickup of the day. On our way from the... More

I took my parents on this tour so that they would be able to see some of the beautiful horse farms in the area. The tour was great! I learned a lot about Lexington that I did not know and saw some incredible sites. The tour also took us to Keeneland as well as to the Old Friends Farm. My... More

Horse farm tour with Bruce as our guide was excellent. We visited several farms and got to see and interact with many mares and stallions. Bruce seemed to know everything about horses and provided lots of interesting information about the breeding business. This tour was a wonderful way to learn about thoroughbreds and see the beautiful Horse farms close up.... More

On Tuesday we toured Darby Dan Horse Farm and Buffalo Trace Distillery with David as our driver and could not have had more fun. We had a couple from Atlanta with us and beautiful weather. We toured the historic district downtown on our way to the horse farm and that was fun too! We had lunch at Staxx Barbque and... More

Went with my daughters for a weekend in Lexington. We were picked up at our hotel by our great tour guide and driver Bruce who was very knowledgable and interesting on our downtown Lexington and horse farm tour. We visited at least 3 farms and then to Old Friends which was so much fun and interesting. Would do it all... More
