Standing in the center of this incredible sculpture with the freedom to move around the horses was a delightful experience. A great stop for art lovers, a joy for horse enthusiasts, and a pawerful exerience if you have members in your party who are cautious about being up close with live horses. I would certainly go back! A great way to pack in a delightful addition to your day that doesn't soak time. 30-60 minutes for a free exhibit that will give you the opportunity to take photos with live size horse statues. You can actually walk around each one and see the detailing.

We were driving threw Lexington to go to some breweries when we seen the park and stopped. It was really nice and they now have painted horses all thru out town that students and artist painted. We loved looking at all of them.

Not a lot to see and do here but it is free and the statues of the horses are quite nice. Great for photos. Also there are markers throughout that tell about people who have been influential in the sport of horse racing. Plenty of free parking along one side, also a free playground just across the street. Not sure if I'd make a special trip downtown just for this, but a cool stop just the same. I'd recommend stopping at the historic Lexington Cemetery as well if in area.

While visiting the area, I made a special trip to drive straight through downtown so I could stop and explore this site. However, when I arrived, there was construction going on, confusion with the one-way streets, and the area generally looked "sketchy" to me. So, I never stopped and just drove off, only viewing it from my car. What a disappointment to me.

The horse statues at this park are beautiful. I loved walking around. It is very close to busy streets so keep children close. I wouldn’t bring a stroller, at least near the fountains. The granite is very very uneven.

Spend 30 mins with these life-sized statues of thoroughbred along the booth and top of the hillside park. Read the plaques of famous horsemen and women from all genres of Lexington. Well worth the stop!

Although this park is near a very busy intersection it is still quite picturesque. It has many statues of horses as well as people famous in the horse industry dotted throughout the park. The highlight would be the seven life size horses in bronze that are racing toward a finish line. There is a beautiful fountain at this spot. Take the time to locate the break in the wall where the fountain is. If you look through it you can get an interesting view of what a photo finish looks like.

I am not the world's biggest equestrian enthusiast but this was very interesting. There are multiple plaques mounted at ground level not seen from the street that tell of the many historical persons who have made the horse industry what it is today. And of course, the sculptures seen from your car window are beautifully detailed when observed up close. A word of warning - there sometimes will be some questionable characters whom I felt uncomfortable being around. Lock your car and stay in a group and in public site.

Gorgeous and realistic statues of racing horses and jockeys with a fountain feature as a backdrop make for some beautiful photo memories.

This park surprises visitors with the most notable sculptures of thoroughbreds in a racetrack, but it’s also full of hidden surprises. If you look at the opening in the wall on the side of the track you can take a finish line photo. The mares and foals grazing in the back look so natural it feels like a real farm in downtown Lexington. Another surprise is written in the back, just follow the signs!

Man o' War Farm has new owners, Carolyn and Franklin Groves, who purchased the 112-acre property outside Lexington in 1997 and renamed it Man o' War Farm (from Pharamond), have sold the operation to Michael and Rieko Baum of New York. Man o' War stood his last 11 years at stud at the property, and was originally buried on the farm. His grave and memorial were moved to the Kentucky Horse Park in 1977.
