Lots of construction around the park. Park on the street and walk and take pictures of the horses. Make sure you "find" all the horses. One statue is in the bushes in front of the park. Thee are plaques around the park that you can...More

There was a LOT of construction going on Labor Day weekend when I traveled to Lexington but I am glad I took time to fight traffic and go to Thoroughbred Park. The sculptures of the horses and jockeys are absolutely incredible and there is opportunity...More

We must of passed this park a dozen times in the two weeks we were in Lexington and only stoped to see it on our way to the airport to go home. Park a block up the street for free parking. Parking meters are right...More

I expected the park to be huge. It's not. Didn't need more than a half hour, but it was cute. Good coffee shop across from it (Community Coffee, I think). Metered parking on that side of the park.

We found street parking (go up a block and it’s free). There are history markers of people who are avid thoroughbred supporters and who have changed the game. I LOVED the statute of Lexington and the racing horses. The different shaped stones makes it look...More

OK, not really, but a lot of REALLY detailed sculptures. Like others have mentioned, this is a short stop, and you have to be aware of your surroundings (like any downtown big city nowadays). My wife and I were going around downtown looking for the...More

Is there a lot "to do" here? No. That's not really the point of this park though. It's a lovely space with the most amazing horse statues- seriously, the detail is wonderful! It made for a nice stop for my husband and I. He patiently...More

We stopped here to check out the sculptures and were blown away by the details. From hairs on the horses to wrinkles on the jockies silks...amazing. Kids will love it!
