We love the Legacy Trail. You can park at the North End (across from the Horse Park on Iron Works) or the South End (by the YMCA on Loudon) or near the middle off Citation Drive. It is well paved from one end to the other and a safe place for you and your kids to ride your bikes or... More

I have taking my children on this trail several time and they love it. We usually go in the mornings and it's not crowded and my kids enjoy making it to the horse park and back. The trail is easy enough for my 6 year old! Family fun and a good workout.

Rode the trail from YMCA to Horse Park and back. Nice ride and workout. Well maintained and paved all the way. The ride thru the Horse Park was awesome.

Great walking, running and biking trails. Enough inclines that you will get a good workout. Usually not very crowded and people of all ages. Quiet and peaceful while you enjoy the beautiful areas along the trail.

The Legacy Trail is a beautiful running, walking, biking, roller-blading, etc. paved trail that starts at the Loudon YMCA and ends at the Kentucky Horse Park. I've primarily used it for biking and would describe the geography as rolling hills. From the Y to the Park is about 8 miles, so it's about 16 miles round trip. Well-maintained and you're... More

my wife and I cycled this trail in June. Great trail. Generally pastoral setting once you veered away from the interstate as you approached the Kentucky Horse Park. We did the northern half. There was only one cross street the entire way so that was great--no stopping and starting. It was failrly heavily used by other cyclists and walkers/runners, so... More

I parked at the Y and walked a few miles on the trail. When I return, I'll bring a bicycle and bike the whole trail. What an asset to Lexington!

I've run here many times and I've biked on occasion. I've never had any problems! I wish there was a little more lighting along the trail for evening rides/runs as it gets pretty dark in some sections at night.
