This immaculate little brewery is within walking distance from downtown Lexington (near Rupp Arena). I chose a beautiful day to stroll to it while my husband was here on business. The 1 hour tour begins with a quick video of the owner & the makings of the brewery/distillery. The tour takes you first to their brewing process followed by a... More

This is what is known as the Town Branch Distillery in the bourbon world, but they have a brewery where the popular craft beer "Bourbon Barrel Ale" is produced. The tour is great, and you get to taste 4 different spirits.

Alltech's Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. is the ideal first stop in the Bourbon Trail. As the newest facility, this is a great place to taste bourbon & Kentucky Ale. The Lyons, owners of Alltech, continue to do fabulous things for the local community, from the Alltech Equestrian Games to their fabulous bourbon & beer. When you tour this distillery,... More

Small craft brewery and distillery. The Pearse Lyons Reserve was very good. Had to use two of my tasting coupons so I could have seconds. On the brewery side, the Kentucky Kolsch was very refreshing on a hot day.

We decided to do a tour after the horse park, and we're glad we did. Of course our granddaughter was not too happy about it, but we tasted some great beer and bourbon.

This is a unique tour that allows you to explore how bourbon and beer is made. The distillery room is gorgeous. I really enjoyed the Bluegrass Sundown drink during the Town Branch tour and the Bourbon Barrel Ale during the brewery tour. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday.

Alltech Lexington includes both a brewery and a distillery tour. Only a portion of each of the activities is conducted on site. For example, there is no rickhouse on site. This limits the ability to appreciate all aspects of the manufacturing process. My tour guide was also less knowledgable about the distilling process than guides at other distilleries that I... The tour itself was very informative and fun, it was great to get to see and hear all about how the beer and spirits are created and to get to sample some of them as you choose. It is a great facility and very fun to visit and learn about!

If you are expecting to relish Kentucky's bourbon heritage, this is not the place. The distillery is only a few years old. However, if you want to enjoy good beer, good rum and decent bourbon, this is a good tour. The guide was knowledgeable and the samples were ample. Each person gets tokens for four samples, so if you really... More

Newest distillery. Nice facility. We took a 1/2 tour, only the distillery, not the brewery. The tour hostess was very nice and we were able to taste 4 different bourbons, choosing 4 from a choice of about 6. The tour was not as comprehensive as any of the other stops on the BT. Biggest disappointment---we purchased a pricey bottle of... More
