Really enjoyed our visit! We’ve been on other KY distillery tours, but this is the only one of the 40+ on the Awesome KY Bourbon Trail that includes both a brewery (beer) and bourbon distillery. Hats off to this distillery for combining traditional Kentucky bourbon with beer. There’s a good reason that their Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is the #1 craft beer (in sales) in the state. Spoiler alert - It’s really good!! This particular distillery uses bourbon barrels 4 different ways, which is amazing. One for bourbon, two for beer and one for scotch. Only frustration during the tour is that it was difficult to hear the guides with so much background noise, but they were very engaging, especially Laura. Really glad we visited this little gem in the quaint city of Lexington, KY.

I had a wonderful experience at LB&D co! Getting to tour and taste wonderful beers and whiskeys simultaneously is simply fantastic. Our awesome tour guide, Boyd, gave a very thorough and entertaining tour, and we were also joined by the owner! Definitely give the vanilla and tangerine beers a try as they are unique and tasteful! Also, I highly recommend trying the straight rye and cask strength bourbons. Be careful not to use all of your tokens (4 total) on just the beer! Sit and stay for another draft pour after the tour with some wonderfully nice people (Stacy and company). I loved everything about the experience! P.s. This is a real review and not automated (unlike some other distilleries). :)

Thank you Dalton we appreciate your review. Boyd is an awesome asset to the team. We love to hear from our guests about their experience. I remember this tour with Dr. Mark Lyons, it was a fun tour! Hope you can stop back by in the future!

Our family (all adults) visited Lexington Brewing & Distilling as a final stop on our day of the bourbon trail. Our tour guide John was very knowledgeable, and his sense of humor and banter with our group made it a great experience. I definitely recommend this one to any groups with bourbon-hesitant members, as these tours offer beer samples as well as liquor samples, and you get to select which combination of products you’d like to sample. The products are delicious and it’s super convenient if you’re in the Lexington area. Different vibe than some of the distilleries out in the country, just FYI if that’s what you’re looking for. Excellent especially if you have any ties to Ireland, as there is heavy Irish influence!

A group of three friends and myself went on a tour and it did not disappoint. We unanimously agree that Boyd was one of the best tour guides we've ever had - he was entertaining and knowledgeable. We all felt that the tour was well worth the money and had a great time sampling both the beers and bourbons! It wasn't a super in depth tour with a ton of behind-the-scenes workings, but we all felt that it was worth it for the cost with some time to kill.

Our tour guide was great! He was happy to answer questions and very friendly and funny during the tour. The facility and grounds are well maintained and very clean. It was a great looking distillery and brewery. The design of the gift shop / tasting room was very unique. We would go back just to hang out inside there and enjoy a drink!

Boyd was my tour guide. He has a great sense of humor. He kept all of entertained while still giving us all a great in depth history of the distillery and brewery. I’m very impressed with how much information we learned and how engaging the tour was. We had people from barely 21 to around 60 on our tour and everyone had a blast! He was also honest with us if he didn’t know the answer to our questions instead of just pretending he know the answer.

Our tour guide (I think his name was Stephen?) was phenomenal. He was funny and informative, and did an excellent job answering folks' questions during the tour. At the conclusion of our beer & liquor tastings (which were all excellent), he offered us a taste of their Bluegrass Sundown coffee liqueur with bourbon. BEST. THING. EVER! Absolutely worth the price! We'll have to make another trip to Lexington to get another bottle sometime soon. :-)

I visited here with my friend and her family who were visiting from out of town for her birthday. We went on the tour of the brewery and distillery where we got to taste both the company's beer and spirits. Each person gets 4 tokens and they get to use those four tokens to taste 4 of the various beers and spirits that are available. The beers were delicious! At the end of the spirits tasting, our guide, Del, made us delicious mini Irish coffees to finish on a sweet treat and that was the best part of the tour! Del was a lovely guide. He was very informative and funny throughout the tour and enthusiastically answered all our questions. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Lex out of town and a fun experience with people who just turned 21!

We stopped in for a tour before we headed home from our weekend bourbon trip. Honestly before heading there we weren't overly excited, because we weren't familiar with the brand. Totally ended up being the best surprise of the weekend! Our tour guide was Del, and he was great! Even though the facility is newer, it doesn't disappoint! Their brews and bourbons we're super good, and they even had gin and rum in their tasting selection.

Del made us a treat using their "Bluegrass Sundown".
Y'all...
For real...
...you know, I can't even describe how sinfully good this drink is. You should just go try one yourself!

We were in Kentucky for 4 days on an extensive beer and whisky trail trip and staying in Lexington. We'd never heard of Alltech but popped in on a whim as we were having a walk around Lexington. This is definitely quite a unique place but more than that, it feels like a very worthwhile bit of Lexington's and Kentucky's modern history, given the founder's (Dr Pearse Lyons) background. Getting both a brewery and a distillery in one is great, as was tasting their quite good products!
