The history is very interesting, and our tour guide Bettina was very knowledgeable, and had great sense of humor. The bourbon was excellent.

Fun and informative tour. Try the old fashioned at the end

Informative and interesting tour. Was more interesting than I anticipated. A lot of good history behind the brand I was not aware of.

Visited some big name brands that will remain nameless. James E Pepper beat them hands down on the experience. If you want to experience a historic distillery with a great tour, don't waste your time with the big brands. You can buy their stuff at the liquor store so not worth the drive. James E Pepper will give you the full experience without the overblown egos that are widespread in the big brands.

Visited late October for a tour and tasting. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with hospitality that made us all feel very welcomed. The woman who gave the tour was incredibly knowledgeable, fun and engaging the entire time. Would certainly recommend to anyone in the area.
Also, it goes without saying but the spirits were all wonderful and make sure to get an old fashion after your tour!

Enjoyable for both drinkers & non-drinkers

The tour was great. Learned a lot about the process, and got to try some tasty treats. My mom & I aren't drinkers, and we still enjoyed ourselves. My dad & husband tried the drink samples, and they liked it so much, they got a flight and tried the original Old Fashioned. Our tour guide was the best, and we highly recommend the tour. Also highly recommend the bourbon barrel aged coffee beans...yum!

We had fun on this tour. Loved that it was a smaller distillery and didn't feel overly commercial. Will be back.

Great Time

We had a great time at the Janes Peppers distillery tour in Lexington . Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The taste testing was generous and I can highly recommend their 1776 brand 100 proof bourbon. The tour was fun and informative. Their distillery machinery is very beautiful. There is also a real nice spot to sit outside by the river and relax. Tour took about 45 minutes. A very worthwhile and fun experience.
