We had high hopes for a splendid walk among blooms and garden treasures. The overgrown gardens had very little in bloom and poor signage. The only visible staff was in the office and were not helpful. The guide maps are specie specific and not inclusive....More

This is a nice place to enjoy nature on a weekend stroll. Many benches to people watch or walk the trails throughout the Arboretum. Bring the dog or the strollers. Have a picnic. Very relaxing place.

While in Lexington for the Keenland races we visited the arboretum. Unfortunately coming from Chicago and being a member of the Chicago Botanic Garden, it was found to be a young arboretum and not very interesting. But, probably the best in the area!

A wonderful place to take a walk and enjoy nature. Located in downtown Lexington on the campus of UK this park is free and relaxing. The 2 mile loop lets you see different trees and flowers. Good for anyone.

What this place lacks in size, it makes up for in beauty and is well-maintained. Tips: Photos not allowed without permission; Pets allowed in most areas. Easy walking on pathways. Small visitor center has basics.

Would the arboretum be a good place for senior pictures? Like background with trees and plants and things in the first week in November?
