What a great experience! This is the perfect way to see the horse country in and around Lexington. It was so nice to have someone familiar with the area arrange our itinerary and guide us through traffic. Ken is so knowledgeable about the horses, the Keeneland race track and the surrounding area that we learned so much more than if we had tried to do this on our own. We can't say enough wonderful things about this experience. Ken made certain that we got to see and do the things that were important to us and not just a canned tour (and he took pictures for us)! We feel that we made a friend in the Lexington area. Than you so much Ken!

Thank you so very much!!! You feel as I feel......we have each made new friends! We always try our very best to give you the best and most memorable experience of the bluegrass area. I am sorry that Joyce was sick and could not be a part of the tour as she does make a great teammate for me to show you around so I am especially pleased that you were very satisfied with me going it alone.

After spending a week in Kentucky visiting vineyards, distilleries, and boating on Taylorsville Lake, we didn't think our trip could possibly get any better. We were wrong. We closed out our week with a private tour of Keeneland Race Park and Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm provided by Ken with Prime Horse Tours. Ken got us access to parts of the race track that we never imagined we'd see. His knowledge of the track and it's history provided a wealth of insight and made for a very enjoyable morning. However the highlight of the trip by far was the visit to Old Friends. Here Ken introduced us to past racing champions like Silver Charm and Touch Gold. He told us their stories and let us feed many of the wonderful horses on the property. His knowledge on each of the horses we visited was astounding. It was easy to see that Ken was very passionate about this place and with good reason. The farm is a wonderful residence for these retired horses to live out their days and Ken makes sure they and their history are not forgotten. The beauty of Ken's tours are that you can spend as much or as little time as you want at the places he takes you, so we were not rushed and were able to meet and feed many of the horses at Old Friends. If you find yourself in the Lexington area, give Ken a call and set up a private tour. You will not regret it!

Thank you all so much!!! We enjoy all our tours very much but I must say that your group was one of my favorites. You were all so curious about learning about the racing industry and the Lexington area. It was truly a pleasure to have you all visit with us and hopefully learn about the place that we have moved to in our retirement. We do these tours because we love horse racing and the horses involved in this amazing sport. If you ever visit in April or October when Keeneland is racing I will be glad to help you about the racing day and placing some wagers on these amazing creatures. It is not an easy game but is truly exciting to be at the races in person and experience what it is all about. Enjoy the rest of the summer and the coming fall, when the weather will be a bit cooler! Ken

We found Prime Horse Tours to be a perfect fit for us as we explored the Kentucky horse country recently. Ken and Joyce are very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible with their timing to ensure we made the most of our time together. Exploring Keeneland, Old Friends and the Kentucky back roads was certainly better with Ken & Joyce than if we had gone on our own. We highly recommend Prime Horse Tours! Vicki & James

We did a horse tour with Ken and Joyce and had such an informative and enjoyable time together. Ken and Joyce are very knowledgeable about horse racing and the surrounding area. They were sure to show us where the horses roamed and raced! Just what we wanted on a horse tour. We even had the chance to meet the owner of a very special farm that specializes in taking care of race horses that no longer compete. Such a kind and special place. Feeding carrots to the horses was a special treat and sometimes petting them too! Thanks so much for your compassion and knowledge on this horse tour Ken and Joyce! It was special!

Thanks so much for your review!! Joyce and I truly had a very nice time with you, your husband and son. As I have said in previous responses, we truly feel we have made new friends once we have taken visitors on a tour of the area that we moved to because we love it so much. You have our phone number so be sure to use it if you ever have further questions or are in the area again.
