We stopped on our way to Jamestown, Ky. This is near the dam & a very educational little attraction. There are aquariums filled with the local fish and stuffed animals showing local wildlife. There are also outdoor tanks filled with fish as well.

We've had a weekend cabin in the area of Lake Cumberland but just "discovered" the National Fish Hatchery at Wolf Creek Dam two years ago. It has now become a part of our visit each time we go to the cabin. It is operated by...More

So much fun! Went into the shop and bough a decently sized bag of feed for $2.50. You just walk up and down the rows of outdoor tanks and feed the fish. It's quite fun! Good for any age.

A great morning spent learning about the history of Wolf Creek Dam. Spent the day before drifting down the Cumberland fishing for and catching trout stocked by the fishery. A marvel of engineering and biology all in one place.

Educational trip for whole family-- at headwaters Cumberland Lake Dam. See hatchlings and learn the process of restocking. Then fish at headwaters for Rainbow Trout.

We floated the Cumberland river in kayaks fishing for trout. We did pretty good! Although it’s not hard given the amount of fish in that river! On the last day we stopped at the hatchery...and I’m so glad we did. While the information center is...More

Small but interesting little place to stop at. Informative video was great. Exhibits were interesting, they have an active bee hive behind glass that you can see inside of and watch the bees work. The pet skunk and numerous turtles, fish, and frogs were fun....More

I am so glad we stopped here. My kids enjoyed feeding the fish. You can buy bags of fish food at the gift shop instead of feeding nickels into the gum ball machine. There is also a butterfly garden, a stream for fishing and a...More
