    Good time!
Great little zoo. Absolutely loved getting to pet and feed the kangaroos! The man working the area of the kangaroos on Tues Sept 19 was so friendly and informative, I could have talked to him all day.

    SO FUN
AMAZING EXPERIENCE. My family enjoyed interacting with the kangaroos. That was definitely a surreal experience. All of them are friendly so no worries. Touring the cave was fun too. Definitely rent the golf cart otherwise it is ALOT of walking.

    An unforgettable experience!
My 11 year old daughter and I spent an afternoon here. We were there from 1:15-5, which was plenty of time to do every without rushing. However we could have easily spent the entire day 9-5 going to each exhibit repeatedly. The staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. They were patient and would answer every question with a smile on their faces! The animals are very friendly, you could tell that much love and kindness are given to them by the staff. The bathrooms were clean, the cafe was reasonably priced and tasty, and the gift shop was not overwhelming! Lastly, we absolutely loved being able to rent a golf cart to drive the beautiful grounds! We will definitely return bringing family and friends!

I had a great time by myself. I chose not to rent the golf cart for day, instead I walked the premises. I did the cave tour. It is cute and short, about a half hour. The cave, like most can be slippery. There were two seniors citizens in my group that I overheard say they should have stayed back. I feed the birds in their caged habitat, I loved that. I fed the Kangaroo, I walked the grounds and enjoyed the sights before going into the store to purchase merchandise. There is an Amish Restaurant very close by if you're looking for something to eat, with an adjacent farmer's market where they sell their homemade jams and sauces, houusewares and popcorn.

Great place to take the kids!
Our grandsons loved getting up close and personal with the kangaroos and seeing so many unique animals. We opted to walk the entire park, but if we go again, I would definitely rent a golf cart, since the park is quite large. Also, make sure to check the schedule so that you don't miss the sheep herding demonstration. It was fun watching the border collies in action.

    One of the best experiences!
My son and I loved everything about this place. There were so many cool animals to see and interact with. We spent half the day here and participated in everything they had - animal feedings (kangaroos, emus, goats, mini horses, lorikeets), sheep herding demonstration where we also pet horses and donkeys, cave tour, and an animal show where we got to touch a snake, bird and turtle. They also had at least 6 friendly collie dogs roaming around the property that we petted and played fetch with. Our favorite of course were the kangaroos. We loved petting and feeding them and seeing the babies in the mommas pouches - there were 6! The cave tour was really neat, with about 140 steps and a cave pool. Tour guide was knowledgeable. We did get a golf cart which was fun and worth the price, especially since it was 90+ degrees the day we went and it’s a good amount of walking. The gift shop was awesome. The cafe had lots of lunch/snack/drink options. Staff were friendly. I have no complaints. It was an incredible experience we will never forget and we plan to go back!

Wonderful place very inexpensive highly recommend.
This is amazing! The costs to go in the zoo is sooo low! And the cave is included!! (My opion they could charge seperate for the cave) They're great people there. They have golf carts you can rent which I highly recommend. Wonderful place. The kangaroos are the highlight in my opinion, mostly when they got a little tiny Joey in the pouch. We will definitely try to make it back Murray and Hope Swiftney

    One-on-one with wallabies and kangaroos
Best part of the adventure zoo was petting and feeding the wallabies and kangaroos. Their fur was so soft and they were so sweet. So many great pictures! The cattle dog demonstration was fun to watch and informative.

We visited on July 3, 2021. We were under the impression that it was a zoo but it's really not a zoo. Some of the animals looked a bit miserable in small enclosures (i.e. wolves, silver fox). They had a lot of exotic birds but nothing you wouldn't see at a pet store except for a Kookaburra. The kangaroos were neat. The petting zoo was basic farm animals, of course. Ticket prices were a bit high for what they have to offer. They offer golf cart rentals and we highly recommend you spend the money (around 35 bucks) to rent one. It's a LOT of walking - mostly uphill and with kids that are young, it could be miserable walking.

I'm not sure why this place has so many 5 star reviews. First, one of the girls at the counter acted like she couldn't be bothered with us. She didn't explain anything or any of the pricing. She just told us the amount for our family, ran my card, then hurriedly shoved a receipt at me, said, "Here sign this", then walked away from the counter before I could even give it back to her. The animals were neat and my kids had a great time petting them (which is the only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars). The animal cages are small and not at all well taken care of. Some of the animals even look malnourished. The cave was just OK. It is also not well taken care of at all. Number one, you can't put an asphalt surface above the cave. It absolutely kills the water runoff that allows the cave to "live". People have also been touching the inside of the cave, which also stops growth. The girl giving the tour was very nice, but not extremely knowledgeable about caves. If you want a great cave experience, I very highly recommend Crystal Onyx Cave. If you want a great animal experience, go to Nashville Zoo.

Went several years ago, remembered having a great time. Not my experience this time unfortunately. Went on Labor Day, pretty crowded, so every golf cart was rented out (really...golf carts in a place this small unless one is disabled or elderly?) Not that we wanted one, but to say that the carts really took away from us having a good experience. You had to constantly be on guard for your kids walking around and they were just everywhere! If you think strollers are annoying, this takes it to a new level. Especially in the bird area. The cafe needs to be staffed with more people as it is the only place to get food. Takes forever to just get a drink. I remember the Lorrie bird aviary used to have several birds that would land on your head or arms. Today there were maybe 8 birds total and they were so obviously full from people feeding them they weren't all that eager to be fed. The park is pretty and the cave is neat (unless you get the guide we had, who my group agreed was obnoxious) and the kangaroo experience is fun, but don't pay full price, wait for a groupon.

The original owners have sold out apparently and now the second set of owners have taken over. The personnel try hard but it's just not the same as it was once. There were only 6 birds in the aviary when once there were seemingly hundreds.
Some of the noted animals were not present in exhibits. The young ladies acting as "zoo keepers" were knowledgeable and very friendly, however. There are now golf carts for traveling the many asphalt trails and were a good thing, considering how warm it was. The cave was nice, too.

It kind of baffles me that there are so many positive reviews for this place, but I guess experiences can differ. We had two young ladies at the front desk that acted like they’d want to be anywhere else but there. They didn’t do anything to break stereotypes of being rude and disinterested for their younger generation. That and the fact I paid 90 dollars to walk through a 30 minute zoo made my experience not worth the trip. They also rent golf carts if you can’t walk half a mile around the park. All the money they are making definitely goes into their pockets, not towards the animals.

An amazing stop in Kentucky! The kangaroos were all of our favorite part 🦘 Prices were great, the animal food was well priced so you could visit the kangaroos more than once. Seeing kangaroos with their joey in their pouch was priceless! The babies were so cute and they were all friendly. The animal show was informative and informal which made it a nice time to take a break. We rented a cart and we felt it was worth every penny! The staff was friendly ( especially the kangaroo handler and animal show presenter). This place will not be forgotten!

We went with my son's cub scout pack, and the kids really enjoyed it. I, personally wasn't overly impressed. My 10 year old son absolutely loved and has asked if we can go back next time we go up that direction. I really bought the tickets for my son to enjoy it, and I'm glad he did. My only complaint would be that the girl that was doing the fudge cutting in the gift shop could have been a little nicer. She served people in front of me without asking any questions, then when she finally got to me cocked attitude that I hadn't paid yet. There was no clear direction that you were supposed to pay for the fudge first then go get it, plenty of other people were getting the fudge then checking out and she never said anything to them about checking out first. Overall, though, the experience was very nice. I'm glad that they offer golf carts because we were all pretty wore out from visiting Mammoth Cave that morning.

Good time, LOVED the kangaroos. Got our tickets on groupon, turned it glad we did after going because we would have been disappointed paying full price. We walked the park, didn't rent the golf cart. Unless there's elderly people in your group there's no need to spend the extra money. It's not a far walk around the park because it's very small. We expected more though. We were hoping to see alligators and koala bears since it's supposed to be australian animals. There wasnt much animal variety. They had birds, but nothing you couldn't see in a pretty store or own as a pet except for an owl and a vulture. It was cool to have the little cave tour, we weren't expecting that but it was impossible to social distance inside and the group that went in was huge (like 25 ppl elbow to elbow). Loved the kangaroo area. Recommend though for something fun to do.

I have to admit I was skeptical about going here but I have never been able to pet a kangaroo before. We had $93 for 2 adults and a golf cart. It is very hilly there so the golf cart was very handy. Since it is winter it was not busy which allowed us to not feel rushed. There were dingoes, silver arctic foxes, peacocks, a camel, and various birds. For $1 you can get a small cup of nectar to feed the rainbow lorikeets. You can watch their tongue slurp it up! There is a sheep herding show. But the best was feeding the kangaroos!! They have over 30 kangaroos. The female adults were all carrying a Joey about the size of a jelly bean. The youngsters were from one month and up. They have two female kangaroos. There is also an ostrich that you can feed. The food is $1 for a 3 oz cup or $10 for a solo cup. You go into their enclosure and they come up to you!! Joyce was the employee that taught us so much about these marvelous animals. They like to have you pet them. It was worth every dollar!!
Your admission also includes a cave tour. It’s overall an easy tour to do. You can see stalactites, stalagmites, cave coral and a moonshine still.

It is a rundown zoo. Seeing kangaroos depressed, lethargic and looking sick in that unhealthy confinement was devastating. All the animals were sleepy and lethargic by 11 o’clock. The management is not doing any job taking care of the animals. I couldn’t believe they allow dogs in the zoo with wild life around and peacocks walking. On top of that they allow golf carts for the visitors to use putting wild animals and the kids running around in danger.
Totally disappointing place to see Australian animals basically in prison and miserable.
