I was using a metal detector and found half a pistol on one of the trails and found a Thor god of thunder Viking ring. Really enjoy looking for things there. Never been inside but a very beautiful place!

This is a great stop song the way in downtown. Mom and Pop lunch, hand dipped icecream, candies from our childhood days (at our childhood prices!), and a great collection of memorabilia! Great place for the family!

This is a very interesting small museum with mostly local artifacts. Is set on some lovely grounds with great flowers and landscaping. Is used for hosting small local events such as weddings.

Nice little place located in a little mountain park. This all is placed in the famous south east appalachian town of Hazard KY. Very scenic.

This was once the equivalent of Hazard's Central Park. It had a swimming/diving pool, croquet courts, and picnic areas. The main building now serves as a dedicated museum to remind us of what we lose when our world becomes hectic, crowded and impersonal. If you are from out of town and want to learn some of the area's history, visit here before you leave. Although it is in walking distance of the downtown intersections, it is a bit hard to get to, since Hazard's streets do not fit a rectangular grid. If you are a Hazard local and have never visited this museum, you owe it to yourself and your community to drop by. People drive many miles to have a picturesque location for a wedding, and here is one in your home town.
