I was really excited to host my best friends bachelorette event here. And I’d like to start by saying this is the first time I’ve ever left a bad review for a business! The owner was great at communicating when he wanted me to book the event and send the money. However once everything was booked the communication was very poor sometimes taking him weeks to respond to me. A half hour before our scheduled event I received a text from him stating he is sick and we wouldn’t be able to have our tasting but we can still show up and everything would be taken care of. I thought it was unprofessional to be notified while I’m driving to the winery but I decided to just make the best of it. He promised to give me a partial refund for the inconvenience. Upon arrival the staff was rude and unfriendly they obviously were not informed we would be arriving and asked if we would still like to do a tasting, we said yes. They finally allowed us to pick out wine and snacks and told us they had no time to make a platter or party tray for us like we were promised. We were handed snacks and cheeses still in the packaging and a tray. We had to go back several times to ask for a knife. No one came outside to speak to us about the wines therefore we had no tasting. This was disappointing as it was the brides first time at a winery. All in all we made the best of it and I texted the owner after thanking him even though we did not receive the service we paid for. We didn’t even have the “private area” that was supposed to be reserved for us. There were people who were seated right next to us. After a month of reaching out to inquire about my refund I am doubtful that will ever happen. As a former employee in the service industry I have never dealt with a more unprofessional owner and staff. I am disgusted and would not recommend ever paying for a private event here.

A group of 7 of us went here today. The wine was great, but the service was poor. It took over 15 minutes for us to be acknowledged at our table and we were ignored by our server on several occasions. Granted, the location only had 2 servers for the entire winery (quite unacceptable). This would not be a stop I would recommend on your trip to Cape May.

If you’re looking for high quality wine, this place has it! Did a tasting of 5 wines for $10. Ended up sitting at a table enjoying a bottle and purchased 3 more to take home. The woman who did our tasting was very nice and didn’t rush even though it was very busy. Will definitely be visiting here again!

This was our second trip here, and I've loved all of the wines I've had here both times. Last time, we did a tasting outside and bought a case. We went for a tasting this time and walked inside as the only ones there. When we asked about doing a tasting, the girl behind the counter coldly said they were not doing tastings due to being short staffed. (I believe it was) the owners were sitting right outside, and she could've easily done tastings for us, but chose not to. She said we could taste 1 or 2 before getting a glass, and as we asked to taste some, she looked bothered that we were taking up her time to try wine. We got a glass and the one owner was inside and took our case order before we left. She was nice and helpful towards us and our purchase. We will still be back next year, and hopefully my review can go to 5 stars.

We were very impressed by the wines, especially the reds. “Surprisingly” good because we are used to east coast red wines not being very good.
Ended up buying a case, with no regrets. Plan to order more for delivery as well.
Better than the other winery we tried in Cape May…

We have been going to Turdo for at least 10 years now. Their wines are wonderful and some are hard to find elsewhere. The addition of the patio was a great bonus to sit near the vines and enjoy a glass. Sal, Sara and Lucca have become good friends and we look forward to our winery visits each year. If you are in South Jersey, you really must put this on your agenda. You won't be disappointed.

We think that this is one of the best wineries in south Jersey if not the best. Family owned .We are enjoying the beautiful surroundings and a glass of Rosso Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/ Sangiovese. Visit this winery you won’t be sorry❤️

The wines are well made. Generally excellent. Tasting room is beautiful. We consider Turdo to be the number 2 winery in Cape May. The venerable Cape May Winery is number 1. We highly recommend Turdo Vineyards.

Had a tasting then sat for a while with a glass of wine. Neither of the 2 ladies serving the tasting or the table were friendly or welcoming in any way. Very disappointed. THe wine was average. And there is no parking......you literally park out on the street or on the grass in the nearby ball field

Hands down the best winery we visited on Cape May. Italian American winemaker works with both local NJ varietals and native Italian wine varietals. An excellent selection of options, all of which are dry, harmonious, and tasty. The tasting room could be made more inviting and cozy for tasting, but the outdoor seating among the grapes was lovely on a nice day. The opportunity to converse with the winemaker always makes a wine tasting special.
