This is a great spot, bathrooms, a wonderful gift shop and a place for lunch over looking the beach. The beach is not crowded and the view is spectacular. They also allow dogs on a leash after 15 Sept. so we could take our little guy on the beach. All he does is sleep under the umbrella. It was a... More

A wonderful place to visit for a bit, it's not that crowded, has lots to see, food and parking available. You can see many various colored stones in the surf ... many have been washed around by the waves ... so as to round and polish them a little. I recommend stopping by if you are in the area ...... The sunken concrete shipping is deteriorating quickly. In some ways is a distraction but I know it's good for the fish in the area. There has not been a time when I've been there that someone isn't walking along the beach lookin for Cape May Diamond,. This time did not disappoint. There was a senior man with a clear plastic... We visited the beach in the morning and enjoyed a relaxing drink and snack in the café overlooking the beach. Then had an enjoyable walk along the beach looking out at the sea, I am sure this is absolutely beautiful at the end of the day watching the sun set.

Wife and I visited this beach with a friend. Lots of small rocks on the beach, but the main attraction for us was finding Cape May Diamonds. And boy did we find them! Wife and I had a blast hunting for them. We also stayed for their evening retirement of the United States Flag. Very touching and very, very nice... More

Never new you could see a great sunset from New Jersey. Its not Key West but really stunning, we had a perfect night to view the sunset. The other thing that makes it really special is they have a ceremony when they take down the United States flag where they play God Bless America and the National Anthem. Everybody was... More

If you're into sunsets, you must check it out. Arrived 90 minutes before sunset, lots of parking spaces available. Brought a couple beach chairs, some snacks and beverages and made our way down the beach aways to the left of the sunken ship. Watched the sun, the gathering crowds, it got crazy the last 30 minutes before sunset. There was... More

The beach is made up entirely of smooth pebbles (of course the infamous cape may diamonds), no sand whatsoever! I thought it was so pretty. It was almost impossible to find a place to park. There was a gift shop with a restroom and a place to get snacks/ice cream. Nearby there is an observation tower you can pay to... More

Sweet little hidden gem in Cape May. I often visit the east side of Cape May, and although Sunset Beach is a sweet little spot, I prefer the east side that I often visit. It felt more like a bay/lake feel at Sunset Beach. The water also looked dirty. However, it was wonderful to learn about and witness the S.S.... More

My husband and I were in Cape May for a couple days and we usually go to the beaches along Beach Ave. which are gorgeous, but saw the reviews of Sunset Beach and decided to go there to go for a swim. Now maybe it's a great place to be at sunset, or to fish, or walk your dog, but... More
