Even though it was cold and windy this is an excellent location to watch the ocean. There are also gift shops as well as a food establishment.

The kids loved looking for the legendary Cape May diamonds and seeing the beautiful sunset. We arrived about 30 minutes before sunset and got very lucky with parking in a close spot. For it being the middle of April it was very crowded. Parking is...More

After years of visiting Cape May and stopping by Sunset Beach, we finally took in the sunset this visit. While not there for the flag ceremony, since it was off-season, it was the perfect way to end a great day in Cape May. The sunset...More

Our family has been coming to Sunset Beach for decades. The view - daytime and at sunset - is incredible. The flag ceremony in season is moving. And every visit includes a walk-through the gift shop where they have a wealth of well-priced and interesting...More

Made famous by the 'concrete ship' that is all but disintegrated, and 'cape may diamonds' that can still be found on the beach there. The gift shop is open all year, and a great place for browsing and bringing back souvenirs, great little snack hut...More

This is my second time to Sunset Beach and I have to say that there is no other beach in the world that you would want to visit to see the sun set. The view even on a cold winter afternoon was worth the bundling...More

Great place to watch the sun set. There are benches to sit on, or you can view from you car in the parking lot. We were there in November and there were quite a few spectators there too.

The beach is great to play on and find Cape May Diamonds, seashells and sea glass but not so much for swimming. No Lifeguards here. There are lifeguards at designated beaches in Cape May and Cape May Point beaches.
