This small underrated beach is its most beautiful at sunset. This is place where the sun is positioned in just the right spot where it just overwhelms the sky. It is the most breathtaking place at that time of the day. Do not miss the...More

Drove to Sunset Beach, parked, took a few nice photos of the sun getting ready to set. Checked out the many piles of rocks to look for Cape May Diamonds. Found a few very quickly and then visited the gift shop near the parking lot...More

Beautiful views of the sunset. Get there early and walk a little down the beach if you want to have a little more privacy. :)

If you haven't gone here to watch a sunset, you are truly missing something special. Get a real Philly cheesesteak while there and watch the cun slip over the horizon.

I love to sit at the very peaceful spot. Then shop at the cute little tee shirt store. And sometimes enjoy the ice cream shop.

Came upon this beach by accident, just driving around. So glad I did, it’s so nice here. Free parking, cute gift shop, even a place to grab a bite to eat. The beach is clean and quiet. I’ll have to return, and catch a sunset...More

We really enjoyed our visit to Sunset Beach. The weather was partly cloudy so the setting sun produced beautiful rays through the clouds. The flag lowering ceremony was touching and well done. A nice tribute to veterans of all eras.

It's not a guarded beach and there are underwater hazards from old piers/jetties. G

Dogs are allowed at Sunset Beach Area always and on the beach September 15-March 30... and if you went right towards Higbees you'd be ok as that is not state park anytime.
