We had amazing luck on our visit - a short walk (so we felt like we'd done a bit of work!) and then 7 rhinos resting in a group. 7 - that's half the white rhinos in the whole of Uganda!!!! Visited the snactuary in early April while returning to Kampala from Murchison Falls Park. Guide was excellent and informative but we had a long trek to see the Rhinos. I am not sure if this was because we had to stop out minibus and circumvent a lone, outcast Rhino (he had recently lost a battle for supremacy of the Group... More

Great trek to see rare rhinos in the wild with Budget Safaris Uganda. You will get up to 30 metres close to the magnificent white rhinos that are sadly close to extinction

We travelled with Rolandssafaris.com through Uganda in December 2014. We had a great experience with Roland. He is very knowledgeable about the country and the local animal. We felt us safe with him. he speaks English,German and Dutch. His car is perfect to discover the beautiful African savanna . We stopped by Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walk with the... More

We stopped by for a walk t=with the Rhinos on the way up to Murchison Falls National Park. We had 5 children under 11 and 4 adults and we all participated in the 2 hour walk, and saw rhino close by, including the youngest which the children were thrilled about. We had read about dodgy toilets on previous reviews, but... More

We were guided out by a very knowledgeable ranger, and now know the difference between white and black Rhino tracks. We were able to get close enough that we did not need binoculars to see them. Great work being done there

Great experience. If you're lucky you might see a ranger talk to a rhino in Swahili and see the rhino stand up and turn round in response! Well worth a visit.

Tracking one of the last remaining white rhinos in their semi wild habitat is something that should not be missed being in Uganda. The trill of walking amount these magnificent creatures will stay with you forever. We were lucky to arrived in the Sanctuary in the early afternoon hours, when rhinos are most active. We spent about 2 hours walking... More
