While not an official stop on the trail, this small distillery offered a unique opportunity to actually talk with the owner/master distiller and taste Bourbon straight from the barrel. High end Bourbon only sold on site.
This is a relatively new distillery on a farm. Staff was very helpful, and offer a tasting for a small fee. The spirits are good, but not as good as some others. The prices, I thought, were very high. It’s an interesting place to visit.
We stopped here with a large group of Ohio grain farmers and wives while touring the area. The majority of the people in our group said that this was their favorite stop. Being able to see a small distillery and having the opportunity to talk...More
A very small batch distilling experience. The master distiller, Ross, clearly loves what he does and takes great care and pride in his craft. His bottled 98 proof is extremely smooth and he will fill a bottle directly from the cask of your chosing after...More

Mint Julep tours selected this distillery for us and we're so glad they did. This one building facility is very different from the big boys but unique and worth while. This one you go to for the Bourbon, not a tour or big experience like...More

Greetings! After your tour of Three Boys you can go approximately 15-20 minutes east to the city of Frankfort, our State Capitol. Plenty of hotel and adventure options there. You may want to check out the Meeting House B&B or the Capitol Plaza Hotel downtown, have lunch or dinner at Gibby's or Sarafinis. Plenty of options. (If you have time head out to Canoe KY and have a paddle on the KY river!)
