Our family stopped here to stretch our legs on our way from Louisville to the red river gorge. The park is beautiful and tranquil. As soon as you pull into the main parking lot, you can see a little waterfall off to the side. About 100 feet away is another little water feature. And then if you want to feel a little more adventurous, you can hike up some steps and walk on one of the several trails at the park. We spent about 30 minutes here, but could have spent longer exploring the meadow and the various trails. A very cute Park!

I didn’t do research ahead of time and thought we’d have to hike a little to see the waterfall, but it’s right next to the parking lot. It was a cute little park and peaceful. Nice spot to stop and stretch your legs, but not much to it. I can see having a picnic here.

Beautiful park right in the city of Frankfort! I took my Mother as a treat when she was released from a rehab facility for physical therapy. She hated to go in a wheelchair but absolutely love the experience. So yes the park is accessible!!

This is a great family friendly park that offers two waterfalls, hiking trails and picnic area. We parked and the falls were with 100 feet or so from the parking lot. We decided to hike the trails, which we thought were wll marked at first until we seemed to have gotten off the trails. Luckily, it's not too large, we worked our way back with the assistance of the Alltrails map.

Not much of a water fall. There is paved trail that takes you in the hot sun past a meadow. Then you are a muddy trail that seems to lead no where. It is just a dead end. There are no benches to stop and rest and no shade along the paved trail. The waterfalls are very small.

Walk around and read the information. Good place to watch wildlife and have a picnic. Easy to get to and close to downtown Frankfort.

We almost didn't visit this park since the official hours are sunset to sunrise, but we arrived at 7:30, and the park still wasn't open. However, we first did some hiking across the street (about a mile loop), which is still part of of the park, but outside the main area, and then visited the main entrance again, and it was open. So the hours may be a little unpredictable. Once we arrived, though, we hiked the Holly and Osage Loop and thought this was a great hiking experience. There was enough elevation to make the hike a workout, but nothing to make it exhausting. There was lots of wildlife (deer, raccoons, turkeys, insects) throughout, and lots of different terrain as well. Better yet, this part is literally just outside Frankfort, so if you are staying in Frankfort, you can probably get here in 10 minutes or less.

The small state park offers a nice getaway with a couple of walking trails. The park is reclaimed from a former reservoir. Almost hidden is a beautiful children's memorial. There is no camping at the park but it was clean. Although I can't be sure, I think it is visited primarily by local families and photographers. The waterfall offers a good photo opportunity.

Beautiful and well manicured park. On the north end of town, worth taking the time to find. It had rained, so the waterfall and streams were cascading swiftly. Wildflowers along the creek. Walkways were either paved or covered with mulch. Even though it had rained, you could walk around and not get your shoes muddy.

My wife and I went here for the first time recently. The park has a good size waterfall, probably 20 feet high that is right by the parking area and accessible by wheelchair or strollers and next to a picnic shelter. There was a small wedding party there at the time. There are several different hikes of varying lengths, but all under a mile. You can combine several together for a decent hike. A good portion of the park is an open meadow area with hikes through the woods surrounding the meadow. It is worth an hour or two if you are in the area.
