So many sights to see in one small area. This is one that is a must see on your itinerary. Such a beautiful building with a fascinating history. The tour guides are wonderful here. Our guide was an engaging lady with a theatre background and she drew you into the history of the building and the time period with remarkable... More

We visited the Old State Capitol last week and had a great tour. Col. Roger Barlow was our guide and shared so much information about the building and the history behind it and the law makers at the time the building was "the capitol" in Frankfort. He has obviously spent much time researching the details and loves sharing. If you... More

The volunteer was great that told about the Old State capital. He new is stuff! We was very surprised about all the history of this capital, with the shooting of a governor and the bust statues and the paintings, everything was great. We recommend this to every one. Don't miss your chance of seeing this. We loved it.

What a deal 3 very nice attractions for $4. It is a little bit of a hike to the capitol from the Museum 3 to 4 blocks. Knowledgeable tour guide who gave us a lot of intersting info about the capitol Frankfort and Kentucky. This an excellent value well worn 2 or 3 hours of your time.

A very reasonable $4 admission to the Kentucky History Center gets you into 3 museums. The Old State Capitol is beautiful and a must for anyone that loves history or architecture. It is also wheelchair accessible. The artwork and self-supporting staircase were incredible! Our volunteer guide, Roger, was not only responsive to our questions, but the way he immersed us... More

Step back in time to the late 1820's. Walking through the huge entrance doors you can almost smell the history of politics, assassination, and grandeur. Our fantastic tour guide Roger was extremely knowledgeable, passionate and his love of history is beyond imagine. We were transported back in time with his excellent retelling of stories from not only Frankfort, but also... More

Fabulous tour!! The tour guide was so passionate about ky history!! A must! So glad I went! I learned so much about the history of the capitol I never knew. Who would've thought Ky had something so unique to offer outside of Derby & Mammouth Caves.
