I hadn’t been to the playhouse in many years, so I really didn’t know what to expect. The dinner was bbq and fixings and it was all good. The comedy show was terrific, especially the headliner, Lee Cruze. Seeing it in the outdoor theater made...More

If you are going to one of their great plays, be sure to have dinner at the playhouse. The food was excellent and makes arriving so much easier. We had a group of 20+ and it worked very well. Had plenty of time to gather...More

This was a very nice setting for an outdoor play. Great actors - every seat had a good view but the bathrooms were kind of gross (a curtain made from material instead of a door for each stall).

I initially saw this outdoor theater in National Geographic’s 100 things to do before you die listing. I live within driving distance but had never been. Some family and I went prior to a reunion four years ago, and it has become a tradition ever...More

We have returned for our second year to this Danville institution to view a sequel of the production we saw last year. The price for the play is reasonable as is the price for the bbq meal before. There are lots of accompaniments to the...More

My family has had season passes for years. Heather, Robby, and Ms. Charlotte Henson are the most to earth people that you will ever meet. Watching a play here is so much fun. Under the stars is exciting. There is not a bad seat in...More

We enjoyed visiting the Pioneer Playhouse. We ate dinner and watched the show. The pulled pork barbecue and cornbread were excellent. The show was okay. The best part of the experience was the friendly staff and the apparent joy they all take in being part...More
