I'm from CT but I came to visit a friend last summer. I've been to many theaters but none are as cool as the Pioneer Playhouse. The seating is perfectly angled where if someone tall sides in front of you, you can still see! I love the outdoor aspect as well, especially on those clear nights where all the stars... More

This was our first time at Pioneer Playhouse and we thought the show was fabulous. What a great and unique event. The actors were very talented and volunteers were so nice. Add this to your bucket list but if you don't have an RV I would skip the campground part but the show under the stars is a MUST!

Drove down from Frankfort, KY to see "MOM's GIFT". Great play, terrific actors. Arrived a little early to enjoy the atmosphere. A small pioneer type village to wonder through and a great little ice cream shop. All the seating is outdoors and on this particular night, it rained before the show. The crew worked really hard and fast to dry... More

This was an amazingly fun time. Our group age was from the 20's to the 40's, and we will go back. Our first time there, we did not have enough time to go through the buildings, so on our next adventure we will make time for it. Maybe next time we will pack a small snack while we spend a... More

We found the Pioneer Playhouse a quaint and fun experience. We opted for the dinner and show option. The meal was minimal, but tasty. For the $32.00 cost of the dinner and show, the overall experience was well worth the money. The production was very professional...not community theater at all. The staging was engaging and the scenery was attractive, and... More

Had a blast with the girls. Ordered tickets early so we all sat together. Had so much fu under the stars. Food was good. Not great but still nice and had a great atmosphere. Have been here several times. Great local place if you were wanting to invest in season tickets. Local gem!!

Saw the play Sherlock's Secret Life and loved every minute. We did dinner and the show. I highly recommend this and will be going back. The owner operators are extremely nice and make you feel very welcome.

Took our children to this very family friendly venue under the stars to see a very enjoyable Sherlock Holmes play. Prices are reasonable, snacks drinks are a dollar each and I don't think there could be a bad seat in the house. Well done family operated business. We will be visiting again next for another play directed to family audiences.
