Shipley park is our local green space and we are so incredibly grateful for it. Throughout lockdown it has been out safe place to have some fresh air. I have been visiting Shipley park for over 20 years.

Shipley Country Park has all sorts around in lots of places. Fields, lakes, woodland, hills, cattle, orchards and streams all joined by miles and miles of paths and tracks. There are even exercise machines scattered alongside the paths. Cyclists, horse riders and walkers can all enjoy the area with no traffic.

We've been several times before but usually with various grandkids. Then we tend to do a trail around the hill near to the visitor centre and then to the activity areas. This time we were free to wander around and it certainly is a big place. We found the orchard, saw lots of work going on on the old American Adventure site and found the original house ruin. There's still more to explore so we'll be going back.
