Chamber Cove is beautiful historic site. This is the collision location of the USS truxton (1942). Bring your camera, and walking shoes. Pretty easy walk if your mobile, there are stairs for one portion. Picturesque for such a tragedy.

Having grown up on the Peninsula I had good second hand information about the terrible shipwrecks of those two American Destroyers on 18 Feb. 1942, the USS TRUXTUN and the USS POllux. Some 110 lives were lost from the TRUXTUN and the site in Chamber...More

Amazing scenery, lots of historic references. Tour guide on site was very informative. Liam I believe,, He has a real passion for the stories he told. Sponsored by the town.
